We have been watching all your videos ( on TV) and today, I went back to your channel on my computer to add LIKE in all of them. What a great adventure. In this episode, the mosquitoes... not much fun. It would have drove me CRAZY. Thanks so much for sharing your walking adventure. Wondering where you will go next time !!!
I feel so sorry for you😢 The mosquitoes around here are horrible. If you haven't, get mosquitoes oil or spray i a farmacy or grocerystore. Afterbite is a product that really works, soothing the itching and swelling. I hope the weather gets better soon.
As I hike a lot in the Northeast I find that waterproof socks work very well. The feet stay dry and don’t get damp as one would think. I use them if I know that I will be hiking in the rain or snow. Maybe something to experiment with as you get away from dry Spain. I hope that you enjoy a wonderful new hiking experience. And, thanks for informing your viewers of new hiking options.
None during the first two days!! There was a young German guy who stayed in Innomhaug as well, but he was biking north to south (and started in Sweden and was returning home to Germany. So that was the only time I saw him!)
I can relate to your problems in the rain having been lost and having had trouble even thinking straight after a while. My experience with rain gear is none of it works after a point. And yet we happily keep going back for more.
Hi Nadine - I have the same waist pack as you. When I walked the Camino Portuguese, I had taken along a couple of plastic, inexpensive shower caps. I wrapped one around the front of my waist pack to protect it from the rain (had many, many downpours...) and it worked well and kept everything dry. Loving your walk so far!
Ah yes... mosquitos (and they're huge)... but there is also open face sandwiches. Still, the landscapes there are pretty magical. Cheers and adventure on!
Those mosquitos were relentless!! I've never quite had bites like that before...

I walked this Trail a few weeks ago,it is worth visiting the Pilgrim Center on the trail. It's nice to see it again, from your perspective. You have a super adventure ahead of you, enjoy the trail❤
Great tip, and I agree! (I actually walked the trail in June/July this past summer and am just now editing and posting the videos- I need to include the dates when I post! So I've already finished and it was such a fabulous journey) :)
Awww, Nadine😢 those rainy days are tiring, couple that tall wet grass, wet feet and mosquitoes makes for a veey tiring day, but what a beautiful trail it is. Buen Camino 🙋♀️
Hi Nadine. Great series. Quick question: Hoe do you navigate? GPS on your phone? I see you have a guide book - I didn't know one existed for this route! But is it enough? Is it well enough marked?
You said your cash got wet? Curious to know how much actual cash you spent - when I spent a month in Norway in '22 I took some cash as usual, but spent almost none. I ended up giving it to my niece because EVERYONE took card - even for just 20¢. Loving your series as usual, thanks for sharing!
Well I have a whole bunch of cash that I brought home with me ;) But it's actually necessary to carry some, because some shelters/lodging only took NOK. Plus, in some of the lodging there was food/drinks you could buy in a sort of 'honesty box' situation, so cash/coins were needed then too (still, I definitely carried a bit more than I needed!)
Haha, well, in some ways it's all a Camino, isn't it? :) And at some point I'll try to do a video talking about the similarities and differences to a Camino in Spain. For me, it definitely had a pilgrimage feel, and that made it more similar to a Camino than other long-distance walks. But there were some differences too! (more difficult, not as many services, not as many people...)
@@NadineWalks good walk Nadine,I have seen all your videos across Spain,i live in a camino vasco village and i love seeing and knowing how foreigners feels our land. Buen camino.
It IS very quiet, I only crossed paths with one other pilgrim on the my first 6 days. After Lillehammer it gets a little more "crowded" (more pilgrims start there), but I don't think there were ever more than 12-15 pilgrims a day (that I say and/or stayed with).

Just watching your videos brings so much joy for me.
I’m enjoying your Norway pilgrimage series! Thank you! ❤

Wow, stunningly beautiful!
Looking forward to watching this walk unfold!
Way to persevere! 👏👏

Another enjoyable video! Thank you!!
Loving the videos, followed your Insta posts. Just received the guidebook that you used! Great videos!
I love that you keep your signature gravel crunching steps at the beginning of your walks!! 😅 have you seen ANY other pilgrims?

Wow. Lots of good practical advice here. Beware the mesquitos from Hell. Rain pants... Thanks!
Love love love….what a cool but wet day

Great video as always! Sorry for the rough wet walk
Lavvo is a Sami tent, just that they built it from reindeer skin, not synthetic fiber🙂
At least your rainpants are dry! 🤣
Would be good if the Frances crowds were around so the mosquitos weren't all focused on you.
Hahaha yes, the rainpants WERE dry! ;)
the austere architecture of the Nordic churches is really quite striking .....

I haven’t even done my Camino yet but this pilgrimage already intrigues me …dign the content 😁
One to add to your list :)
Wow, that was challenging but looked beautiful too, just a pity about getting wet and cold 🤗
Yes, it was a day that had a little bit of everything!
Thank you for sharing this

It WAS a long day, but despite the challenges of the morning, I had pretty good energy (especially when the sun came out in the afternoon!)
@@NadineWalks How many kilometres are making each day?
You don't comment on the exceptionally beautiful landscape you're walking through. Don't you think it's gorgeous? 🤔😊
exceptionally beautiful landscape....🤔
bugs stay away from Nadine!
If only!!

Hi Nadine,
Do we get a score from 1-10, for the pilgrims toilet?
Is this path very diferent from those you have taken in spain? I find It funny you name It "camino" too😅.

Isn’t it a very lonely route?
