This is a series of videos, where we are sharing our learnings and experiences that we gained, while seeing our child "SAINYAM" recovering from the challenges that came along with Autism Spectrum.
In this video we are sharing about what helped sainyam in altering his habit of not pointing towards things and dragging us to the objects he wanted, Also we have answered some questions from the comments, which will help many many parents.

Hi, we are taking aba therapy for my 5.6 year old son since 1 and half year 2 hrs per day. He is verbal. I am still in confusion to continue therapy with them as the parents are not allowed to know what's going on in the session.after 3 months Director of the centre who is bcaba will held meeting.only that time we come to know what's happening. Can you suggest me to continue or not

Could you tell me how your son was when he started schooling. My son, he has behavior problem, like he refuses to write or do worksheets which teacher gives in class. And is very emotional, a NO or refusal means tantrum, which sometimes teacher finds difficult. Did you face any such things. Now in grade 1 timing has increased so much than when they were in ukg. This makes them tired

One question please: my son had overcome visual sensitivity, however it's returned he keeps finger at end of eye and looks from corner of eyes . Any suggestions please share .

You should be ashamed that you are trying to make money out of people who already face cash crunch owing to various therapies. Don't fool people like this . Autism is neurological condition not some disease to cure with herbs .

Hi, autistic kids ka school me generally admission ho jata he if child is cooperating with other kids and calm. Hyperactive and shor Karne Wale bachhe school nai lete mana kar dete he..most of big school refuse to take our kids because they have mindset that our kids are mentally weak and they can't pay too much attention on a single child.
Hi Shipra, Sainyam goes to a normal school, Starting ke 6 months he went to an inclusive setup, and after that we admitted him to Normal school, We were in constant touch with the teachers and councellor and saath mil ke hum kaafi cheezon pe kaam kar paaye. we will create a video on sainyam's schooling journey soon.

Thanks for the question.
Let me revert one by one..
1) Child not speaking and having behaviour / sensory issues, surely rings the alarm.
2) Assesment is important to get the degree of ASD or any other learning difficulty..so that line of therapies may be decided, pls get that done.
3) Can't comment about the Dr. But the child surely needs early intervention, next 2 years are very valuable, pls don't delay the assesment/ therapies.
4) You would agree with me that education/ schooling/ medical...all these are also businesses, we just have to see as parents, what is our child's requirement and give the child that thing.
So pls get over the confusion..
Step 1 - Get the assesment done ASAP
Step 2 - Start early intervention/ therapies as per the assesment result and recommendations.

Mera beta 20 months ka h aur koi symptoms nahi h usme bs yahi symptoms h ki finger point krke nahi btata use kuch b chahiye ho toh hme hath pkd k le jata tha. Please clarify is it autisam or only anything else?
Hi! With only this one symptom nobody shd jump to any conclusion. I suggest you pl get his complete assessment done with a child psychologist to rule out anything. All the Best!
Doctor only recommended ot and speech for my son as he doesn't have behavioral issues..Will it be sufficient? He is 3, verbal with one word speech, few 2 word phrases and knows colors, animals, objects at home, alphabets, numbers etc..has mild asd..pls advice
Yes, that sounds absolutely fine...requirement of Therapies is always based upon the symptoms.
Also pls remember, ABA is a method in which child is encouraged to do or not do certain tasks, through positive reinforcements...this technique can be adopted by you in OT, Speech Therapy or Special education sessions, when you will do these at home.

Hi Priya, we will be uploading the subtitles for this video by Monday, pls revisit...in nutshell, we used audio visual to have him respond to his name, we recorded ourself taking his name and played that on tv, this made him turn towards the tv for the first time...later we tapped his shoulder each time we called his name and did role play activities

Please continue or start his speech therapy, Speech therapist have exercises which will help. One thing that will help is ROLE PLAY , For example : keep some dry leaves on table and blow when he is around, try to engage him in play, similarly spit in wash basin and encourage him to follow, it may take some time, but keep doing this, don't give up

Potty and susu training is a very crucial area, Sainyam ke saath hum log ROLE PLAY karke batate the ...usse kuch maheeno ke baad usne batana shuru kar diya tha. Kabhi kabhi use pakad ke baithna padta tha shuru shuru main pot pe, jab tak susu na kare... Dont give up and try karain ke ek fixed time par he use washroom le jayain. isse benefit hona chahiye
