As mentioned in The Batman, Falcone did kill Selina's mom, Maria, he just covered it up. In The Batman I think Selina was around the same age as Sophia when her mom was killed and she was sent to social services.
He actually didn’t cover it up, he just left her there. Selina found her momma strangled and just assumed it was one of her clients, and the police didn’t investigate fr because well, we know why.
😂 that’s the thing like, her story IS tragic but she was indeed rich kid who just had basic morals. Truly a “villain vs villain” story through and through.
The allusion to the short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman with Sofia's delusion of her parents' bedroom is so incredibly well done and fitting. That's prime storytelling.
Unpopular Opinion: Sofia is NOT crazy, even after Arkham. She plays into the reputation when it suits her but she's exceptionally perceptive and rational. If Oz is considered sane, Sofia should be too.
That's exactly what a delusional NYC guy would say 😂 The earlier episode where she was in a party, started to act like a psycho when someone called her a hangman made it clear she was acting up to her name.
That is not an unpopular opinion??? The word crazy is just overused? She obviously isnt crazy, shes just traumatized and has mental issues Crazy is someone that doesnt know what they are doing, is deranged and looney
Sofia says that being her driver must be boring for Oswald, and defends Oswald when her brother calls him "Penguin", but later snaps at Oswald that he's just her driver and no-one wants to hear from him. That parallels well with the previous episode, when Oswald chided a waiter for guessing what Victor was trying to say, and encouraged Victor to be more confident and "take up space", but later mocked Victor's stutter during their confrontation in the men's toilets.
@@teeski000 When Victor stutters, he rolls his eyes and shouts "Jesus, kid!" out of impatience. Maybe 'mocked' isn't a _perfect_ choice of word, but my point is that Oswald's mask slipped, that he isn't as supportive/compassionate as he wants Victor to think he is.
Remember that in ¨The Batman¨ Selina tells Batman that her mom used to work at the below 44 and that she died by strangulation? Carmine definitely killed her, he even tried to kill Selina the same way
He killed Selina’s mom, Sofia’s mom, all those women, and tried to kill Selina all in the same way. It’s not fair that Riddler of all people got to off him
I don’t think there is anything she is in that I dislike. I loved her black mirror episode, Palm Springs was a great movie, made for love was an underrated show (imo), and she was so endearing in how I met your mother. I’m glad she can continue to expand her range in this type of role!
This reminds me of a funny dialogue between Batman and Superman: - Do you know who I was thinking about the other day? Magpie. - The criminal? - Do we know another magpie? Whatever happened to her? - She died. - No! Are you sure? - Reasonably. - Why is it that good villains never die? - Clark, what the hell are good villains?
The fact that each episode is better than the last is so far impressive to me. This show is absolutely brillaint! Cristin Milioti deserves an Emmy! She and Colin Farrell absolutely killing it in the acting department. This episode is dark, depressing and absolutely poetic! Can't wait for the rest of 4 episodes, this show is literally becoming one of my favorite shows. The next 4 episodes I feel like things will start heating up, Sofia and The Penguin for sure have a lot of catching up to do 😅
The reason she kept viti alive is because of the deal with the triads with the bliss. Remember her and oz said vitit was gonna take over the fam and would back the club owner in the deal. Once that deal is done, viti will become useless to her. Also, remember, viti wrote an affidavit against her in arkham. She is not gonna just like that slide, she has got something planned for him. Oz is now gonna make a power move to wipe out the maronis, which should leave a showdown between Oz and Sofia. I think next episode is Oz taking out the maronis, then a episode focusing on oz's backstory. I think Sofia next move is to take out anyone that is connected to oz or who he cares about. I think the call girl friend of oz is the first to go, remember Sofia has seen her around oz before.... his mother and vic could be on borrowed time also . I think at some point she is gonna go full on crazy on oz or one of those closest to him. She has either teeted or played up the crazy too much for them not to have her go CRAZY at some point.
This show is brilliant, I don't know what else to say. Colin Ferrell and Cristin Milioti deserve Emmys YESTERDAY, incredible dialogue, cinematography, editing, directing, score, etc. There's not one thing I'd change so far.
I hope Sophia doesn't get killed at the end of the show. I want to see her meet her half-sister Selina Kyle. Make Sophia be the new head and rival against another head, the Penguin, taking over Gotham equally. Like her father, historically, rivaled with Sal Maroni. That would be very interesting.

Tuturro’s Carmine seemed scheming, smarmy and creepy to me, I think for the particular role Strong is more intimidating and scary. It’s really good casting(or recasting in this case).

Damn, Eric really was predicting the finale of this series between last episode anticipating a moment where they make you feel like a fool for rooting for the villain (Vic’s ending) & this episode wanting her to burn down the Falcone family mansion (symbolizing her no longer playing by her father’s mafia rules).

Director Helen Shaver needs to be given not only an Emmy but give her her choice of ANY future movie or tv show she wants to direct. It was such a brilliant move to have Sofia’s story start off in this bright and colorful charity event, then get darker and drained of color as they’re inside Arkham Asylum, and then have this gorgeous warm sunlight follow Sofia as she’s walking through the mansion past the bodies of all of her treacherous family. Honestly, if I were criminal in Gotham and I had heard Sophia‘s story about the truth of what happened to her, I would be as loyal as a samurai to her and cut down anyone who ever truly wronged her. All hail the Queenpin, Sofia Falcone!
This was the best episode so far even though the first three were great. Cristin Milioti is absolutely electric in this role. I cannot praise her enough. Wonderful performance.

The best thing about this episode is that we the viewers, are the bad guys. We went along with the rest of the world (in Gotham) in thinking she was some pcyhotic killer. We believed what others said about her. Despite no evidence or flash backs of what really happened at first. Such a great twist. I hope this lady wins awards for her performance.
@@meciocioJust a tv show? Yes, and tv shows with messages. Thus the point of the episode. Or perhaps you missed how many are talking about the message, including the director of it who said the plotline until now was for viewers to fear Sophia based on what others in the show said she was like. And in the episode we are let on the fact that people assume things are true about people without knowing the full story. The audience being part of it. Again, if you don't get there is a message, then that's on you.
Well that could happen unless she bites the dust in this show. I don’t see how her and Oz can coexist now. Either she kills him or she has to die somehow. Unless Oz can, by some miracle, talk his way outta this.
@LegendsLiterature so far I think Reeves might be doing a loose adaptation of the No Man's Land batman arc. If that's so , we could see the part of Gotham affected by the flood being subjected to different crime organizations, and if Carmine's death alone produced a power vacuum imagine now that the whole Falcone family is dead. I can see Penguin, Sofia Falcone (as the lone survivor of the "tragedy" she's about to sell to the media, the Maronis and the Gotham triads going at each other's throats to rule the city.

my moms friend played a extra in the prison woman to left of her when shes on lunch line then behind her
I really wish someone would make a compilation on Calvin saying wrong things confidently
The best thing about this episode is that we the viewers, are the bad guys. We went along with the rest of the world (in Gotham) in thinking she was some pcyhotic killer. We believed what others said about her. Despite no evidence or flash backs of what really happened at first. Such a great twist. I hope this lady wins awards for her performance.
it's just a tv show stop being so cringe
@@meciocio What are you even talking about lol? It's what the episode was about. Sorry if your brain can't think deep.
@@ThatShyGuyMatt that was the cringiest paragraph i read this week dude, like seriously. it's just a tv show
@@meciocioJust a tv show? Yes, and tv shows with messages. Thus the point of the episode. Or perhaps you missed how many are talking about the message, including the director of it who said the plotline until now was for viewers to fear Sophia based on what others in the show said she was like.
And in the episode we are let on the fact that people assume things are true about people without knowing the full story. The audience being part of it. Again, if you don't get there is a message, then that's on you.
@@meciocioWhat's with the attitude? All this person did was praise the writing
am i high or is calvin's voice deeper than normal?
Sophie is taking control of her life, beware Gotham. BDEWARE!!!
Easily the best live action version of Arkham we've ever gotten 👌
Man, I hope Sofia jumps over to The Batman pt II, I desperately want to see her go opposite Pattinson, that'll be an acting fest for the ages
¡¡EXCELLENTE!! ❤
The only thing I found wrong with this episode was the fact that it had to end.
Give Cristin Milioti her Emmy and bow down before Sofia Falcone, the new Queen of Gotham
suuuuch a good episode. Give Cristin Milioti an Emmy!
No Hyperbole, this is the greatest written comic book show since Batman: TAS.
Daredevil?
@@mirkecWii real good but not this fantastic
I think her brother had to do something with all those murders.
But we will see.
And if I am right, then she will hate her brother.
You should watch a show called From. It’s soooo good and extremely thrilling, and i promise you’ll be hooked!!!!
Calvin having a second puberty by the sounds of it.
Hackett Pike
Clearly the best show in the last 5yrs
Gonna clean sweep the emmys
That just means you havent watched any shows.
@@lzniR I dont know what could beat this writing. Its like watching a novel there's so much dialogue yet I couldnt feel more engaged in a show. What would you say would beat it.
Every episode I think this show couldn't possibly get every better, and every episode I am proven wrong.
@BlindWave Mark Strong replaced John Tuturro due to Tuturro's filming schedule conflicting with when they filmed this series.
One Bad Day
The hook guy?? Yeah sure, BUT the Band of Brothers guy!!
Man I wish I could grow a beard like Eric, GOW style 👌🔥🔥
Aaron getting hit by the drive by needle was so funny
Eric is right about her name. It's Graciela.
Marisol Isle
@BlindWave Carmine said that Kenzie told him about Summer Gleeson after Oz had told him about Sofia meeting with her.
Thanks to Eric, Calvin, Melanie and Aaron! 🐧
