Great review. Yup nails and a broken crow were my observations as well. Overall. Good piece and good price point. They got exact crows. We checked every box we got and it was 50% on those birds. But Sideshow handled it.
Oh man. The statue is not mine and yet it hurt me to see that breakage on the crow's wing. I have seen this sculpt of the Crow from Sideshow and I really like it. They didn't overdo it. They made it simple yet very impressive. Yea they should have put an extra peg on his left foot to prevent any wobbling. Still very nice sculpt representing the movie.
I'm a huge fan of the Crow movie and this piece is excellent. However, I would have liked to see a switch out with the shotgun to provide a guitar and the arms to hold it.

I was tempted by the Crow because I grew up with it and enjoyed the movie, but glad I didn't give in. A wobbling statue is the one thing I can't look past unfortunately.
This is one that from a distance looks great. The closeup shots were kind of a turn off. Not one I’d pick up for the collection but I like that Sideshow is doing stuff for fans of this type of content.
The portrait looks amazing, I may get this one due to I do have the action figure which looks awesome these would pair well together in my movie collection, nice video much love from the Bay Area 💯

How so? In the comic he is simply known as Eric. The movie iteration, depicted by this statue, is Eric Draven. The movie is based off of the comic and adapted to screen with clear differences. No skull cowboy, top dollar and T-Bird swap, etc… so I don’t think he fits in that sense.

In the original comic series he refers to himself as The Crow when he signs a letter to Mr. Hook asking him to take care of his cat Gabriel. It takes place in Book Five: Death. In the special edition TBP it is page 198, bottom left panel. So I do believe it was O’Barr’s intention that Eric does become The Crow. Although, not mentioned in the movie I would think his view of himself would be the same. Just my opinion though.

Luckily, Sideshow had a deal that had me pull the trigger on The Crow statue by including Hot Toys Captain Marvel Deluxe Edition 1/6 figure for free ($265+)! 😁
Finally got this picked up from UPS after a big fiasco with the "delivery". Love this piece, sorry to hear about your bird. Problem I have with mine is the hand with the shotgun does not stick well with the magnet. I feel the key peg on the hand is too shallow and the hand with the gun can get knocked off easily. Does your statue have this problem? I also agree with you on the orange color on the base being a bit muted.

I would have bought this but I'm not a big fan of mixed media (even Gem was frustrated with the one jacket flap). Also, that crow is fragile as all can be. I MAY buy it though if there is a big 30-35% off sale but for now, I'm not interested.
Update! I’m ecstatic to say that Sideshow took care of me and shipped me a replacement crow (bird) and it is undamaged! Money well spent and recommend this if you’re an OG fan!
This may be an odd place to ask this however I am reaching out for some guidance anywhere I can. I have a statue paid in full plus shipping and I am waiting for it to ship. I was informed it was ready to be sent on 12/12/2022 the shipping was paid no later than 2 days after, I reached out after no word and recieved a message on the 12/21/2022 saying that the supplier was unavailable and it would ship when they can, it is now 01/16/2023 and still no word, am I in the right to ask for a refund?
In my honest opinion the portrait is bad! That is definitely not Brandon Lee the likeness is definitely off, and I must say Sideshow has really been struggling with likeness on their portraits lately IMO.
