Which system? Are there not....countless systems that govern or influence us?
I love this guy and what he's saying. He thinks a lot like I do.
However, a couple of cognitive distortions - Coronavirus *is* worse than Ebola, and not comparable to flu, crossing street etc. The difference is that this is a *new* virus, so the actions we take now to control its exponential spread have a vast impact. There's no equivalent "now or never" form in the road for government legislation making re: crossing the road or flu. Coronavirus is spreading like wildfire right now and the decision making opportunity to influence it is now, not later.
Also the Google search thing - I've been playing with this for years and find it fascinating, but Adam doesn't acknowledge here that people don't need to do Google searches to solve a problem unless they have a problem. There could theoretically be 90% of the population feeling over the moon, and they're not going to Google search "why do I feel so energised and fulfilled?" So you're only going to find auto-completes from people who have a problem and want to solve it. So you don't know what percentage of people have problems from this.
