At around 6:50 am an emergency weather alert came over my phone waking me up saying tornado warning until 7:30 am. By 7:02 North West Fred George rd area was getting about 60-65 mph winds, heavy rain, and definitely recognizable tornadic activity for a few minutes. Slight OMFG scale of anxiety but nothing more... Definitely OMFG scale material, but very quickly gone too .
It was? I was wondering what the damage of scale was. I there were three confirmed tornados in the Tallahassee area. I hear south of Tally got hit, we got hit in woodvile and south side of Crawfordville got hit as well. I was at work. And I had only been there 5 mins when we got hit.
@KerriElizabeth0228 I'm certain one went over our house just didn't touch down. You could hear the wind and transformers blowing and things snapping and power flashes everywhere. I'm in Crawfordville, it was definitely a scary storm!
@@AshleyGibson013 yes it definitely was a scary situation. I'm grateful that it was no worse than it could of been fr! The tornado just lifted near my house but did snap off a couple trees but that was it. Where I work, had a lot of tree damage and a pole got snapped off and some other things got damaged. I could see the tornadoes winds swirling around ferociously with debris, flying everywhere! people were still trying to make it into my store as the tornado hit thankfully, they are all okay.
I have seen a few videos of this story but none shows a tornado. I'm not saying they didn't cause the damage, but where are the videos showing any tornados? Maybe Florida has no storm chasers, which is hard to believe as the state gets pounded by storms almost daily in the summer.
It’s because it was so sudden and we rarely get them ever, first off Tallahassee doesn’t get much tornados they are usually more out west by Marianna and Destin part of the panhandle, second off this was a rain wrapped tornado and early in the morning around 6:50 so it would be hard to see to begin with, also why would storm chasers be here in Tallahassee
@@MegaBenjaminFlorida gets more tornadoes than any other state, this wasnt exactly a rare event. There should be more storm trackers in Florida. Getting an amber alert 2 mins before a fucking tornado doesn't cut it.
It was 7 am it was barely light and rain wrapped tornados. The damage is something we’ve never seen here even with hurricanes. You can tell by how the trees were twisted. People were commuting to work
It was 7 in the morning. People were either asleep or just getting up to go to work. There was no warning. So, no, there's no dramatic chase shot of the tornado. Just the damage it left behind. If you have doubts about it, get up and come help clean up and help restore power for the people here! You can see first hand and talk to the people and officials here.
