Would love an update. This is the first I've seen on a proper road bike and I am guessing the batteryn life is outstanding with the lower resistance tires, lighter weight as well as more aerodynamic riding position.
Hi Mark. Havent used it so much yet, but works great so far! I did have a hickup when the battery was fully charge though. You are right it consumes very little battery the rides I've made (helping a little bit). I will try to make an update one day. :)
I started a conversion with this motor yesterday and for the first hour or more I had to drill multiple times and smash with a hammer the bike stand were it's bolt had welded tight. I couldn't believe how tough it was for a cheap shit bike stand. It was only supposed to be a loosening a bolt job but instead a total nightmare and that was just the start of the job. When I got the pedals, cranks and bottom bracket of with relative ease I then discovered that the motor wouldn't fit through the bracket as the center unthreaded part of the bike bracket was slightly less in diameter than the outer threaded parts so I ended up luckily discovering that my neighbour had a semi round file and so I spent about 3 horrible hours hand filing this hard steel until I could get the damn motor to slot in. Had also to cut the bottom plastic cable guide in half. Next had to drill extra hole in battery bracket as it didn't fit the bottle holder attachments. Also had to make my own bolts to attach it as the ones on the bike were to tall to get the battery to slide on and I don't have a workshop. So that's as far as I've got and the troubles I've had. Hopefully I have the worst over and will get some rewarding ride soon.
Remove the front derailleur, it will save weight. Nice vídeo thanks for sharing.
With The Tongsheng you can add a double chain ring.
Nice looking frame you have there.
You did not have to remove the cable guide under the BB. Take the cover off the motor and it will slide right through
Nice I have the 500 watt 48 volt kit and want to add the throttle
Nice one, how has it been running since the install?
I like your your adages....example, plan is no good unless you put it to use🙂
Please test it and make a video, I'm doing the same thing. Thanks for sharing.
Nice Job! So How is it working out for you?
Hello, how the gear cable free of move between motor and frame?
