About 40years ago at Winkelhaak Mines (Evander) nr 6# as a mine surveyor I was part of a survey team to check the concrete reinforcing for the bed of the winders. Once started in pouring the concrete there is no interruption until the whole bed is completed. Then the lining up of the winder ropes with the shaft sheave wheels. The sheave wheel must be perfect in direction to the winder drum as well as absolutely vertical.
