Very uncharacteristic of Josh. I think he was either being paid to keep it tame for marketing purposes, or he didn't actually want to play it at all and only did so because he was being paid. Either way it feels phoned in.

It's opposite for me. Not many funny or interesting moments in this video, 25 out of 32 minutes are pretty much him doing a tutorial.
As someone who plays Endfield I can say this game has a lot more meme potential, it's just either he was genuinely not interested in the game at all and did a video just because it was sponsored, or Hypergryph screwed it up by setting up multiple accounts for him.
It's probably a mix of both since this game has many drawbacks for a "normal" non-gacha-player, so he ended up using maxed account after doing the basics and thus skipped 90% of the game. And since factory gameplay is connected to story/power progression/other mechanics, he did not have much material to work with when making a video focused on automation in this game.
I watched his Satisfactory videos as a Satisfactory player and really enjoyed it, I watched his Enshrouded video as an Enshrouded player and it was nice, but I couldn't watch this video without using 2x speed 90% of the time.

thanks josh, though I have been playing for a while, this video helped me understand what I was doing wrong when it came to the factory building part such as the splitter and how to get more power. so yeah, this video helped me to understand more
Hypergryph is a very good company compared to so ething like WuWa or HSR they aren't nearly as grindy unless you wanna really minmax every single npc and get them all to potential 5(Which isnt needed for half the characters, plus even low rarity operators are still very useful.)

I was about to say that this is the first game I’ve seen him fail to break, but then pipes happened… but even then I have to say that this game is pretty good in handling bullshittery
It does have a surprising amount of limits to keep you mostly in line, for better or worse. Honestly them limiting most factory building to a fixed space, while annoying from a production perspective, is definitely a good thing from the perspective of preventing people from breaking the game too much.
That said, he didn't even touch the zipline system which can be used to create some interesting chaos as well, and I've seen a couple of clips of people using it to do things like get out of bounds. Still a lot less than you'd expect though.

Worth remembering that he mostly plays indie games, while Hypergryph has something like 1500 employees.
@Gamer3427All the limitations are also a smart way to keep the factory system interesting without making it too complex. Compared to Factorio or Satisfactory there are not a lot of ways to optimize and groe your factory. For example you only have one type of conveyor belt with a single Set transportarion Speed that only works on a 2D space. That makes it simpler for beginners, but creates a Challenge with the Limited space. So here it is more of a puzzle of how well you can optimize the use of the limited Ressourcen and space you have instead of managing a gigantic factory as in Satisfactory/Factorio.

you can do that pretty much everywhere that isn't illimited water, even the puzzles where you have valves to transfer water from one pool to another, you can just empty them and put any liquid instead x)
According to people who've done it, jumping into Jincao solution ponds heals you.
Mildly disappointed it comes out as emerald green instead of the "cream with a hint of mint" color it has in the ui (particularly as its green is already markedly different from the "electric lime" color of the xiranite), but it totally works otherwise.

But you also can pump liquid xiranite back into it to make a pool of xiranite too

The systems of improvement in the game involve creating and managing resources extraction, synthesizing gear for your characters (no rng element for basic gear unlike other mainstream gacha) and most important, leveling up the development in your world by exploring and connecting the world through electricity, transport and improving the lives of small communities with tech and resources from the local factories.
I didn't know it existed until this video, but crazy that anyone would focus on the generic combat when it literally has factory building!

@DragonRiderShirube warned the story is painfully mid right now, and there is some lack of interesting characters but it gets a little better later on, and they sometimes use European accents, which is cool. Also a gacha game, you pay using time instead of money so be prepared for doing dailies and some farming for the rng elements that come later on. Also there is a lack of male characters, but everyone is useable in combat as long as you understand their kits.

@OliParker1gacha games are free-to-play games which monetize via the way of "pulling" for characters. Every patch cycle will have some amount of special currency that will let you try and pull these characters, but you're never 100% guaranteed to get a character unless you skip another character and save up your currency, but sometimes players don't wanna do that, so you're able to buy said currency with real money, or you're able to buy even more and strengthen the character by getting them multiple times. Every gacha game can have different content, and this one had factory building as content

@OliParker1 gacha games are games with gambling in them. gambling for ingame stuff that makes you do better at the game, sometimes.

The funny part is that Wuling's story is about how they're running out of Xiranite and they need it desperately to fend off invading enemy life forms. Turning every fountain, lake, reservoir and puddle in the area into Xiranite isn't just helpful and not that damaging to the environment since the stuff is just H2O + Carbon, but it actually super-solves the issues they were having in the story!
... I hope liquid Xiranite is good at quenching thirst though.

30:30 if you use the other fluids, the ones that are used to make the healing items of the region, filling a pool of water with it will actually heal you over time. The Yazhen one actually being kinda pretty and a like, dark starry green. I haven't done it with Jincao so idk how that one looks.

@GreenMegaEthan Kinda yeah, kinda nah. On the one hand what he had in wuling is everything in wuling pretty much. On the other hand, he barely scratched the surface of valley 4. When you're talking about top tier battery and healing item production, you need almost an entire maxed out outpost for 1 product if you're doing max throughput. Not to mention he had a press account so he could skip through the entire story and everything else.
Gonna have to wait for the next expansion. .. well you don't really have to assume since I'm pretty sure they will sponsor him again every single expansion.. His video is bringing millions lol. And he's prob earning a minimum of 50K from this sponsorship.
Hopefully the dev sponsor him again after years and more region is updated
