There are three indicated mechanisms between gut and autism I am aware of:
    a) low GABA neurotransmitter which normally calms the mind and ensures good sleep
    b) low Glutathione levels which is the body's main antioxidant reducing inflammation throughout the body including all the way into the mitochondria of brain neurons.
    c) low zinc absorption rate, which is required for brain synapse maturation.

Can't wait to see the replicability of these outcomes.

I really support this kind of research. I personally deal with autism and discovered eye opening improvement when cutting gluten, grains, surgers and progressed food. It brings focus and changes the whole feel in being.

when you start to implement slowly prebiotics and ferments, then you'll see even more miracles.

I would LOVE to have my 12 year old son who has ASD be part of these trials.

My family is well familiar with autism due to my son conditions. The news and the video gave me a hope, so I rushed to read the articles in Microbiome and Scientific Reports. Results are impressive even for open-label study without a control group for autism symptoms. Never seen in my life a child with severe autism symptoms that jumps below mild autism cutoff. However, mechanisms of the observed improvements of ASD symptoms are not clear to say the least. First, many autistic children, including my son, don’t have any GI disorders but share the same ASD symptoms. Second, I would never believe that transduction of a severe mental disability could be through something like the gut-brain axis.

You might also find "The Nemechek Protocol" interesting. It is similar in theory that the gut bacteria affects the brain.

Then you need to read the latest scientific journals which are awash with evidence of gut-autism links. Here is just one: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5408485/
My son has both GI disorders and autism, but GI disorders are not always externally visible but may still trigger autism. There are three indicated mechanisms between gut and autism I am aware of.
      a) low GABA neurotransmitter which normally calms the mind and ensures good sleep (two things many autistic people do not have)
      b) low Glutathione levels which is the body's main antioxidant reducing inflammation throughout the body including all the way into the mitochondria of brain neurons.
      c) low zinc absorption rate, which is required for brain synapse maturation.

      Dear Василий Гончаров
Forget about Autism. Do this experiment and post the outcome. Next morning hold your dump don't go bathroom just try to suppress it. Now tell me how was your mood, thought process, social behavior, focus by just holding your dump. That's the power of gut. It can disable you in one day mentally and physically. FYI out of 100 only 6 child with autism have any sign of gene mutation. Now, let me explain you how gene mutation is gut and environment dependent. Recently research suggest chewing tobacco cause throat cancer and smoking lead to lungs damage. Cancer is over growth of cell i.e. mutation. Just imagine how one plant leaf (tobacco leaf) cause such mutation in throat cell. Human share symbiotic relationship with universe and every other living organism and non living compound. When that equilibrium get altered causes adverse impact.

@@kunalsingh4u I hope that those scientists read your comment. That exactly the type of comments and the language that pseudoscience attracts.

Poop from a healthy person is transplanted into the patient so that the healthy person's microbiota colonises within the patient's gut
