Hololive is absolutely amazing but I would love to see some reactions sprinkled in from other (corp.) vtuber(s) as well. Bro, there is so much potential out there it is crazy. If you like these kind of video productions I highly recommend the japanese vtuber HIMEHINA (essentially 2 vtubers acting in one channel --> Hina Suzuki and Hime Takana). HIMEHINA is pretty big and does amazing covers but also crazy original songs which go hard. And the video productions are crazy well done with choreographies. They are not part of a vtuber corporation.

Definitely one of Kiara's best songs to date. and she 100% did the dancing, in a basically makeshift MoCap studio her fellow genmate Amelia Watson set up at her place due to the travel ban (at the time) in Japan because of a certain virus.

Kanauru is a talented 3D animator who makes free random funny shorts. They have worked with Hololive and Nijisanji to make full music videos like this one or comedy skits. You'll find their work in a lot of the live 3D performances Hololive does for intros and transitions. For this specific video, they took a chance on adding the second Kiara for the final chorus, not knowing if she'd like it, but Kiara gave her seal of approval and kept it in. Kanauru has great creative freedom to do what they feel is best for the video.
From what I heard this isn't even just animated, Kiara recorded the choreography in Ame's motion capture studio and Kanauru stitched it together to make this awesome video.
Kanauru is also a damn fine dancer himself, since when he does any kind of dancing skits in his fan videos he does the mocap himself.

Kiara is one of the top dancers in Hololive, she recorded the mocap for this in the studio Amelia built in her house, as the actual Hololive studio in JP was just inacessable due to a lot of reasons at that time.
She also just released a Korean version of DO U! And her choreographer, Kianna, has done choreography for all of her songs so far (except for 4 of the new ones from her album)
A really good, kind of a sampler song, is the "Hololive Special MEDLLIE" by Kureiji Ollie from Hololive Indonesia where she covers short sections of 36 Hololive original songs into one big medley. Mostly Japanese, a few English, and a few Indonesian songs. Just short of 19 minutes long and it has the English CC.
Second this. Ollie did a really great job.
Bet Ollie would comment on his reaction, she's everywhere.
But it works the best when you know most of the songs. Sonny has currently reacted to 1/35 songs in that medley and 7 of the talents from those songs.
Highly recommend this too.
I highly recommend this as well. I think it's time you met the crazy Indonesian zombie - Kureiji Ollie! (The primary reason she did this medley is she's just as big a Hololive fan as all of us are. She's one of us who made it inside, basically). 😁

Kiara is a great singer and even better dancer, she's always a treat to see at the live performances. If you want another great song with an awesome video and incredible dancing, I recommend Shallys by Aki Rosenthal. It's very unique because the lyrics are in a language she created just for the song.
I second this. Shallys is CRIMINALLY underrated!

While Calli is really good at doing everything herself. Kiara is really good with communication, finding the right person for the job to do the video, choegeaphy, music and mixing. The dance moves are motion captured in ame's homemade studio.
I'm enjoying seeing you fall deeper into this rabbit hole. The good thing about Hololive is not only the girls are really talented but also there is a lot of diversity in Hololive, you never know what you gonna get next. Also a heads up, your hololive reaction playlist is missing the gura reflect video.
4:29 the video was done my a talented 3D animator Kanauru using Kiara’s motion capture data and the quality 3D model produced for her by Hololive. I do not believe any Hololive 3D music videos were made by the talents themselves, but you are right that some times the talents do make the videos. Calli, for instance, edited many of her own music videos and even did full animation for a couple, Nezumi Scheme and Black Sheep (she also did in fact do her own beat for a few of her early songs, Dead Beats, Live Again and Cursed Night, before it became easy for her to find producers who were eager to work with her). Also, Ninomae Ina’nis, another genmate of Calli and Kiara, fully illustrated the video for her original Violet and several of her cover songs as well.
Some times they even step in for each other. The music video for Kiara’s first ever original, Hinotori, for instance, was actually edited by Calli. Hinotori is worth checking out eventually by the way as it’s Kiara singing a completely different style of music from Sparks and Do U.
I can tell you the exact ingredients of Kiara's voice. A strong nasal component, autotune to the point where her notes are uncannily clear, and a high pitch that would feel awkward, if it wasn't coming from a VTuber. And while those don't exactly sound like positives, she makes it work. Brilliantly.

another classic K(iara)Pop banger! this one needs a big shout out for Studio Ame (her Myth genmate) for giving her a way to capture her fire dancing and Kanauru a community hire whos basically carrying the 3d vtuber scene. There are lots of things going on with Kiara's vocals, but I'd say that some of it is due to the fact that English isn't even her SECOND language. She speaks German (first) and her Japanese is as fluent as anyone's. Yes, her singing voice is very "different" and catchy, but the way she pronounces some English words is also mesmerizing, due to her being less familiar with the language than with German and Japanese.
Part of the reason why Kiara sounds so different to you, is probably because of her accent. She's not a native English speaker. She's actually Austrian, so her native language is German. And she just learned English and Japanese to native level of fluency because she was passionate about pursuing her dreams. She's the only member of Hololive EN who's not a native English speaker.

You might be asking, what is this "Holostars" that I mentioned. Well, they're the male group in the same company as Hololive, coworkers essentially. So far, Holostars have 19 members including members from TEMPUS, which is their English branch, and each one of them have their own unique talent but overall, they're great singers.
