Flash Flooding in Cobb - More rain on the way!

The Cobb team, including DOT, Water, Police, Fire, and Emergency Management, spent the day helping residents impacted by a flash flood near Smyrna Tuesday night. They made sure residents were safe, sheltered, and informed about what was being done to prevent more damage before more rain moved in.
Last night's flood affected 13 homes in the Coopers Creek neighborhood, five of which had major damage. The flood occurred when debris washed into a culvert, damaging two 70-inch corrugated stormwater pipes. EMA teams were in the neighborhood today as DOT crews started cleaning debris and planning repairs.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
