The thing that was dirty on Karsums side was that he tackled him full force, Karsum is a big guy and probably wheighs about 200+ pounds. The hit didn't really affect the game, but I still think it should have been at least a minor penalty for boarding! A, small compensation for a broken jaw. Best of luck in the tournament Latvija!

Sure every Swede thought we were gonna beat Latvija - Sweden has a good team this year, and after all - we are the reigning Olympic Champions. However, I see it as a positive thing, that some teams (like Latvija) are getting better each year. But I don't think Latvija will go much further than to the Quarter Finals. It's still a step in the right direction! =P

It was not a clean hit - a clean hit is shoulder to shoulder without your feet leaving the ice. Clearly Karsums feet left the ice and it was shoulder to back - It should have been a penelty for either: Checking from behind, charging or boarding with an extra 10min personal penalty for "dangerous" play! If the ref seen it from another perspective - it would have been a 5 minute major for charging and a misconduct. Karsums got that VS Austria showing that he is careless!
