I just started too. I bought some a year and a half ago as gifts. I bought one for myself on Temu. I paid. $1.79 for the kit. I love it. I bought more, of course. I quilt, do counted cross stitch, knit, crochet and now diamond paint. I think that is enough. Of course I bought more kits in Temu. Got a few accessories too.
A good tip that I use the whole time is that if you get two flat magnets and put one under the canvas and one on top it helps with holding back the plastic
I love seeing people get into diamond painting. I got my mom into it and I regret it a little because she's so high maintenance over it now. But its always a treat to get to sit at the kitchen table in the daytime and work on our diamond paintings together.
Diamond painting really is a magical way of getting all the books read haha, so happy you ended up liking it after having to put up with me rave about them 😂
You will love it. I went all out and bought them from Amazon. I put them away, my neck would hurt. I should get back, it's satisfying to see the picture come forth.
I hope you love it! I have found that I occasionally will drop a diamond in the wrong place, but they are easy to push around to get it in the right spot or even just pick it off and try again. I have also lost some diamonds here and there, but fortunately they give lots of extras. I have found diamond painting to be so relaxing. I love doing it while listening to an audio book.
I love your robe! Welcome to the world of diamond Painting!! I have been doing it for about 2 years now. I love to listen to audiobooks and diamond paint. I am going to send you an email of some things you might to buy to help make your diamond painting easier if that's ok.
I absolutely love diamond painting (though I haven't been able to in a long time because of having a baby and such). But watching you do them definitely made me want to find time to get back into it. I have so many different ones I've started and ones I have to do still. All different sizes and diamond shapes. I definitely broke out my newest one and sorted diamonds while watching this video. Also, putting the diamonds into the containers is easier for me with the white thing that holds the diamonds. The one that's not a narrower kind of tip. I open the bag and pour them into that then put it into the organizer. But I'm not sure if that would work for you! Just a tip!
@@CompletelyMelanie I hope it helps! I got all my diamonds organized and figured I should get in bed since it’s almost 2am. I knew if I started, I would finish my book and the diamond painting and suddenly it would be morning 🤣
YESSS!!! I freakn love diamond painting! Listening to audiobooks and diamond painting is all new level of Zen. For real. To get the drills into the containers, get a silicone funnel. Saves so much time. And a suggestion, what I did was I didn't put anything into a container until after I used that colour. They almost always send a bit more than you need. I've lost whole packages of colours by accidently knocking my tray and the drills fo flying everywhere. Months later, we are still finding random drills. lmao. If you need to buy extra drills, there is a place you can buy them from. I will send you the link.
We are currently flying home from our vacation and during the 1st flight which was 15 hours, I worked on a diamond painting and either watched movies or listened to my audio book. Not sure if I will have the space to do it on the next 2 flights or not but if possible I will.
I have essential tremor I had Deep brain stimulation for it. And it worked. Love Temu. Are you still diamond painting? I went in head first in January this year to date I have 400 of them and still buying them. It’s addictive. Loved your video. I still single place because I spend more time adjusting them. They do take time.
What is deep brain stimulation? Was that like a one and done fix? That would be incredible! I still do the diamond paintings often. I love them! I've gotten where I can multi place now. I purchased a separate pen thing with angled heads and that helped tremendously. I just recently purchased a whole bunch more diamond paintings from Temu which you will see on another haul before long.
Let me put it this way it was 3 surgeries I’m right hand so they drilled a hole and put leads electrodes in my brain then 7 days later a battery in my chest and hooked them up after healing they programmed it tremors gone in right hand. 6 weeks later drill a hole in my head same thing hooked it up heal then program. My left hand still tremors you will see this in my videos. Hope this helps. It was worth it
@Diamond-painting-With-Marie Holy cow! That sounds seriously intense 😳 I don't know if I could do that. I'm glad it worked for you though. I know that must feel amazing to have the tremors stop.
I also have the tremor disorder but I like to cross stitch. Sometimes the tremors just make it harder but sometimes focusing on the cross stitch sort of calms the tremors.
Me too. My doctor tells me it's known as benign essential tremor. The thing that defines it as not being Parkinson's, from which my father died, is that drinking a pint of beer stops it in its tracks. I was told that cross stitch is a good therapy, so I've taken that up. I also have a diamond painting kit which I haven't started for fear of my son's cats knocking it all over the place. I will now have a go, in between cross-stitch and writing. Thanks for this encouraging video.
I will have to look those up. I haven't heard anyone mention them before. Thanks for the tip. Lol, I am so already addicted at this point! 😂 Since this video, I have done 3 more of them. I love it!
but with that said like i said you will like diamond painting ive been doing it for almost 3 years but those pill boxes pop open to easilly when dropped i like to use little baggies from amazon
I use museum gel that I get from Amazon . I found that it lasts way longer than the wax they give you with the paintings I’m pretty certain that the one 4 oz container I bought will last me a lot of years
I put some in one of those tiny tiny jars , put some in less than 1/4 in thick , press my DP pen in to the bottom , give my pen a circle . I found that amount in the tiny container lasts me months
My right hand trembles all the time due to cronic pain and I have been doing diamant painting for a little over a year. I also find it a lot easier to use the single pen then a multi placer, but it gets easier to place several at once with practice 😁 For me diamant painting is a wonderful way to get thrugh alot more audiobooks then I used to. For me it is very relaxing to listen to a good book while setting my diamants, slowly progressing with my paintings (am doing a really big one right now 70×40 cm) and will hopefully finish in before the end of febuary 😆
Yeah, I can't seem to do well with a multi placer, but I don't mind using the single pen. I have definitely been enjoying doing them while listening to a book. I even brought some on my trip to do.
@@CompletelyMelanie Yes I agree, I prefer the single. I only use the multi placer if there is a huge block of only one colour. Otherwise I use the single 😁
@@CompletelyMelanie No, I have only seen them. And I am very happy with my new single place pen 😉 I bought myself a new pen ressently, one with a nice thick grip because the thin pink ones not are comfortable for me to use for too long at a time. But who knows, perhaps I find something new to try out when I start looking for a new picture to buy after I finish my current one. It's actually wise to not spend a lot to check something out. I started and I have some cheap ones and expensive ones. Depending on what you are doing the hobby for you may want better quality. I practiced on the cheap ones and discovered I like it. I listen to podcasts, sermons, whatever and talk on the phone .
I have definitely found that the bigger ones that I got from them are better quality than the small one that I did in this video. I am totally hooked. I like listening to my audio books or watching TV while doing it.
