Just had to share 🌹
Aight Jenny, so I made this tonight. And I just tweaked a couple things 1) used heavy cream instead of half and half 2) used Parmesan cheese instead of mozzarella 3) cooked the chicken, then took it out to rest and then cooked the shrimp in the same pan to get that flavor! I also made the sauce in that pan after I took the shrimp out 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I made this today as well it’s soooo good I used heavy cream but didn’t do the vegetables or milk or water the heavy cream was well consistent! The seasoning for the chicken & shrimp is 💣
Haha there is 2 type of ppl Ppl who wait for the water to boil before adding the pasta...and ppl who just put the noodles in without waiting for it to boil 🤔
Triste Locka bruh I swear I don’t even wanna watch the rest of the video after watching her do that. Like even the directions on the box say to pour the noodles into BOILING WATER. It’s supposed to be at a rapid boil. How embarrassing 😫
A few tips for cooking pasta! - bring the water to a boil, then salt the water, THEN add the pasta - don’t rinse the pasta after cooking 😩 it washes off the starches - save a bit of the pasta water to add to your sauce it not only adds flavor, but helps stick the sauce and pasta together and thickens any sauce.
Instead of rinsing your noodles, wait for your water to boil add some salt and a little bit of olive oil or whatever oil you prefer so your noodles don’t stick together or at the bottom of the pot.😘 but overall thank you for sharing this recipe looks yummy 😋❤️
Andrea Amezcua adding oil to boxed pasta is actually pointless. It only applies to fresh home made pasta. Otherwise the oil is just sitting in the water because duh OIL AND WATER dont mix lmao
Using garlic powder instead of garlic salt is way better for the sauce. Also adding a little bit of pepper, parmesan powder cheese and a little bit of that seasoning. It makes it more alfredo and flavorful. Also girl try cooking the chicken breast in butter. A whole different thing! Especially for pasta I’ll definitely try this recipe❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I just found out in my cooking class that if you salt the chicken n let it sit in the fridge before cooking it it makes it super juicy! And also waiting like ten minutes after it’s cooked before cutting it keeps it juicy
Omg I've been waiting for this video!!!! I love seeing you being a señora and showing us your true self!! You're never fake! Thanks for making this video for us and sharing your recipe's with us!! We love you Jenny!! Nunca cambies!!
Paprika is the bomb I go ham on it when I need extra color the taste isn't overwhelming it can be a little subtle so overdoing it is fine.. some shredded parmesan cheese would've been nice in the sauce since it's saltier than mozzarella cooking the meat in the same pan is okay as long as you cook the chicken first, remove then cook the shrimp, remove cook the sauce in the same pan with all the dripping of your meats it'll give your sauce that cajun kick your meat had making your dish more flavorful.
I made this today with a few changes, I used penne pasta, I used bay seasoning and pepper. It was delicious! Thank you for sharing your recipes, need more chef Jenny
JEN! Next time you make this before you strain the pasta save a cup of the water and then once your mixing in the cream and cheese etc you add the water and it makes the sauce really creamy and glossy! And if it gets to thick you can thin it out!!!! This looks bomb girl!
I would want more chicken and shrimp for that much pasta and I would make the sauce separately so I can make it the consistency and flavoring I want. But this looked delish! 👏🏼 way to go Jenny!
*_A good tip is 1st making the sauce and add cheese, chicken and shrimp and some chicken bullion salt flavor once hot then adding the pasta so it doesn't over cook on you🤤_*
I always make my sauce separate from the pasta. Instead of adding a whole half and half...add 1 cup of chicken broth add more garlic, 1/2 cup of half and half, and also add parmesan cheese. You won't need additional salt....it's delish!
I love you Jenny, BUT there is so much in this recipe/cooking video that I would do different. 1st boil the water before you add pasta, 2- don’t rinse the pasta, 3 I would sauté the tomato and green onions (I would add garlic to it too), then add the half and half and some more of the Cajun seasoning and salt and the cheese then taste it. Once it’s ready I would add pasta and shrimp and chicken and mix and add more cheese or milk depending how saucy you want it But other than that I’m actually going to try to make this! Thanks for the idea
Can you do a tutorial on this eye look? It looks so pretty and natural glam, sometimes the more natural looks are the hardest I want to see how you do it!
The fact that Jenny is so clean with cooking (props to washing off her hands, and the chicken) makes me appreciate her way more. Love you and this recipe making tonight!!! ❤️❤️
if you rinse the pasta under water when its cooked you rinse all the pasta starch off and it can make it gummy and the little starch on the pasta makes the sauce better
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE RECEPE JENNY ❤️ I cooked this on Valentine’s Day for my man. I followed some suggestion here on the comments so thank you all! Pasta came out delicious but a little too spicy for me lol my man loved it, just told me to make it a bit more saucier next time.
Love this recipe I shall try to make. Quick tip on your pasta add a little cebolla, garlic, salt and a little aceite to the hot boiling water and always cook at the end. That way you’ll have perfect pasta
Pro tip cook chicken first and pasta last add olive oil to the pasta so its not sticky! Pasta only takes 9 mins max depending on how soft you like it! I made this and I was high as hell it came out so good my son loved it!
Knorr chicken bouillon is the bessstt replacement for regular salt, i promisee! Lol & seasoning the chicken also would give it some bomb flavor! I cant wait to try this😋🤤

Adding bell peppers or mushrooms or dry roasted tomatoes or spinach taste good too.
Yes👌😋
I make mine with bell peppers. Soooo good
Mmmmm yes!! 🤤🤤🤤
In the future, make sure your water is boiling hot before putting your noodles in. It cooks the noodles faster.
Michelle Dulaney yup! And when the water is cold and you pour them like that they stick! So yeah boiling water...cooks faster and no sticking.
Yes! 👌🏽👌🏽
or just use kettle water
or add a little bit of oil into the boiling water 👌🏼

Jasmine Lee true ☝🏻 i like to cook it in the pan where I cooked the chicken so I can get the flavor that the chicken left behind. It’s so good!
Good tip! I also cook the sauce separately. Also so the cheese melts properly. On low heat and whisking it
I cook the sauce in the same pan. To get flavor from chicken and veggies I add. Let it simmer and then add the pasta and chicken.
@@jocelync8236 I do the same.
Great tip I do this too! I cook the chicken and prawns and then pop the cream straight into the sauce, then mix pasta at the end!

A few tips for cooking pasta!

- save a bit of the pasta water to add to your sauce it not only adds flavor, but helps stick the sauce and pasta together and thickens any sauce.

Salt goes before boiling the water. Salt helps the water boil a lot faster.
@@adayinthelifeofa69 salt before boiling the water. Salt helps the water boil a lot faster.

I sometimes use heavy creamy In stead. Many do like half and half. Doesn’t really matter.

Heavy cream gives more texture than the half and half .. I like heavy cream betteeer!!
