I love your videos and hope your having fun on your tour. I've got questions on your BC build....what is the size of your chainrings and cassette? I'm thinking of getting a BC from my LBS but they only have 1x in the XL size. With 32t and 11-51 cassette and 700c tires that gives me 18 gear inches. I currently ride a recumbent trike that has a 22-32-44 chainrings and a 11-42 8 speed cassette on 26" rear wheel....low gear is 13 gear inches....but the trike weighs 50lbs without my touring gear and I'm 250lb so need those low gears to climb steep hills. Its been years since I've ridden a 2 wheel bike and with my low back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome i worry about how to configure my new bike to make riding it less painful. Only reason I'm switching to 2 wheels vs trike is the ease of traveling with the bike on plane, bus and train...which is hard to do with recumbent trike. Looking at the butterfly bars and brooks saddle plus the redshift shock stem and seat post to make riding more comfortable.
