You all really do such a good job since the very beginning of the announcement trailer which brought the modern era of aviation into my memories of childhood FS98 all the way though FSX and now MSFS. You have remained loyal as a developer dedicated to the platform you created to make it the absolute best experience possible for your customers. And I am a very grateful consumer!
I've tried flying the simulated CG-4A in IL-2 Sturmovik before at night. Landing it without training beforehand was a thing that resulted in many fatal crashes for me. My respect to those soldiers' courage who flew it/with it.
So is this the parts that AH cut out of the DC-3 pack that they updated from FSX for the 40th? Without fixing the dc-3 still, unless your on PC and can relay on others to Mod it.
Amazing video! Glad we got the C-47 with paratroopers after all. How did you full up the sky with so many aircraft? Was it a multiplayer flight or replay trickery?
C-47s towing gliders with their wheels down and the tow cable is attached to the rudder. Who in the world watched this and said it was good to be published?
I would like to point out that it is impossible for this C-47 to be a D model because it still has the two stage superchargers. C-47D is the designation given to C-47’s with the second stage of superchargers removed after the war. So technically what has been released is actually a C-47B.
peut-on simuler au départ de l'Angleterre la traversée de la manche et un atterissage près du pont de Bénouville par exemple ? Comment le c47 se manoeuvre? Merci
Yeah! The Aeroplane Heaven DC-3/C-47 used to be a standalone product that was going to have that very functionality. That was before Microsoft acquired the DC-3 for the 40th Anniversary update. Everyone thought the C-47/paratrooper version was scrapped for good as a result, but now it's here after all.
Half of the sim development community is savage. DC Designs promised everyone a free A-10 for being loyal customers then turned around and sold it to MS for 2024. PMDG removed their original DC-6 liveries on Xbox then as a thanks for waiting on WASM implementation, turned them into $5 micro transactions. You are nothing more than a number on an earnings report or marketing engagement survey.
Why are the Dakotas all have their gear down during towing? Was that an artistic choice, I don’t think it’s historically correct. Not to criticize, just an observation
Hey guys just: Thank U USA, without those guys GI that came out of those c-47d skytrain, France would never have been freed. Cz I'm French, I thank USA , and I am proud to say : VIVE LA RÉPUBLIQUE, VIVE LA FRANCE!

It would actually be less fun to fly. The Horsa couldn't soar...it was purely a downward trip. You can soar a Waco CG-4a, so whilst I am British, the Waco is going to be more fun to fly.
What do you want? They announced the next one to be the 707-320c coming next month - check the developer Stream maybe. The Dakota here is a special D-Day release and contains more than just the C-47 as you may see.

I found film of my father and hundreds of other planes taking off from Barkston Heath and it was dark. The National Archives in Adelphi Maryland has tons of film. That's where I found it.
My great-grandfather flew a similar glider like this one in WW2. Now I can fly and experience what he did 80 years ago...
My dad flew "X5", took off from Barkston Heath and pulled gliders and dropped the 82nd and the 101st! He's buried in Arlington now w/ mom.
Both Your Great-Grandpa and @DanODNC1 Your Dad are the Heroes, Forever Glory to Them!
Allot of people did not know that allot of civilian pilots flew those planes for D-Day, seeing they were severely short on pilots.

What a beautiful tribute to the greatest generation...
Music pays beautiful homage to Band of Brothers 🫡
I could only sing the music from Day of Days, Ep. 2, though. Someone rip the video and overlay that music!
It's nice how they added it on D-day too
WE GOING BACK TO D-DAY WITH THIS ONE🔥🔥🔥

Super cool idea guys! Thanks for honouring this day!
I really hope we get a Berlin Airlift Challenge too.
Broo that's a great idea!
I remember that kind of moment in Brothers in Arms road to Hill 30
Im soooooo excited for the C47 😍😍😍
My dad showed me the ending of the first episode on Band of Brothers, where the US was on their way to defeat Germany. This was EXACTLY like that.
Thanks to your dad for showing Band of Brothers to you on television. Truly the greatest generation :-)

Look at the glass on the right! so realistic!
How you release the parastroopers
This is great but one little thing. You don’t fly with undercarriage extended. Half the video has the DC-3 with it down
Yes also Waco gliders didn't raise their landing gear because ... well... it was fixed...
Haha, I didn't even notice the first time I watched the video. You're right!
One of dozens of multiplayer bugs Asobo refuses to acknowledge or address on full display in a trailer 🤣

Wht landing gears down ?
As a Brit we need the Avro Lancaster in msfs
As a Yank I agree with that, Let's get some Dambusters in the air.

Why do they put their landing gear down while towing a glider?
Those C-47s were probably still on climbing out of the airfield...
I can hardly breathe
Why is the tow livery unable to start. I thought it was all the reason to fly this bird. I already have the DC 3 so whats the point?
This isn’t bad but why can’t we get a B-17 ,B-24 or B-25??
Can someone tell me how to take off with the glider it won’t let me spawn with it 😊

Finally, some good aircraft

Probably because its one edited in 20 times
