Top tip with getting out of the Adobe Contract. They won't let you cancel but they will let you transition to another plan, at which point the 14 day cooling off period kicks in on the software and you can cancel it outright.
For us european customers, we’re very lucky to have the very least a CeX around. Ireland’s physical gaming market could be extinct faster than you know it and could the UK also. CEX is a fast and accessible way to buy retro games and other tech. I’m just not a fan of the delivery fees to be honest. The only bad thing I can say really. I feel trade in prices could be fairer and some other things priced more reasonably. They have a good refunds system in my experience but it’s all down to which branch you’re dealing with. If they ever went out of business, it would suck for your vlogs because it’s the whole idea of getting out of the house to record a few videos for the channel.
I'm in that 20-25 bracket and love a good CeX browse, I rarely ever even buy anything but like just looking at the games knowing they are there if I want😅
I'm convinced with the push to go digital and "little" things like court case where the term is being changed regarding buying game to buying license as to make it clear we do not own the actual product. Could see in time, a fair bit of push back to go back to hard copies as there will surely only be so much consumers will take when it comes to spunking away £60+ on a single item only to have a license which could very easily be made redundant and leave games unplayable because devs take it offline etc... I'm perhaps holding onto blind hope that physical media will be forced into coming back
The only thing different between digital and physical content is the delivery method. Licensing hasn't changed. Even with discs, even with music, you're just buying a licence to "privately" use the content. The server hosting the content can obviously go away with time but unfortunately, especially with newer systems, the authentication servers can also go away, so even owning physical media might not guarantee you can use it in the future.
I’ve been starting to upgrade all my DVD’s to Blu ray as DVD’s are pretty soon going to be obsolete. But with things like Vinyl becoming more popular do you think there will be a resurgence in physical media in a similar way?
would you recommend getting steel books for DVDs or games? im looking for the star wars original trilogy on DVD for my collection and dont know weather to get the steel books or the basic cases, what would u recommend 🙂
Does cex not keep the disks behind the counter? Here in Australia they do from a shop called eb games. We also have cash converters but it’s terrible for buying games
What I will say is CEX has been the most unprofessional inconsistent shop I've ever bought and sold stuff with. Let me give you a few examples. Games not working and in absolute god awful condition is probably the most obvious and common one. "We check every game works before we sell" literally no. They don't even clean anything that gets brought in and sell manky cases and controllers with gross shit on them. I've had actual consoles sold to me that don't even work and with parts missing or broken. Controllers, cables the actual consoles the ps2 colour ports etc. They sold me an xbox 360 with a scratched off serial number so when I wanted to get rid of it after a few years they told me nope sorry can't take it it has no serial number (but it was okay to sell to me...) Each store has a completely different set of rules on what they can and can't do. It literally depends on who is running that individual store (dumb) Like yeah the shop can be good but the sheer amount of times I've had issues with them outweighs any other shop by a mile.
I think you're a bit wrong here. It wasn't a glitch and it couldn't ever be infinite money. But of course thats the clickbait headlines to get the views. We know if you trade more than 2 of a game in they can offer less, we know there is a risk of them freezing your account if your seemingly bulk selling so It's not really sensible to say it like you did. It also stops people with genuine reasons for wanting them from getting them which is a shame. It was also likely another place where the information became apparent. On top of, if they happen to all of a sudden see an influx of trade ins for a game, there is obviously going to be a reason, so of course they would drop the paying value. Anyway, just because you can, it doesn't mean you should. As a business too, it isn't infinite money, in its simplist terms, thats how it reads, but that is ultimately wrong. If it was that easy it wouldn't just be CEX. In this very video you are indirectly stating how volatile the value of items can be and thus that there already creates one of the difficult aspects of the business.
I genuinely love watching your videos, but your so money focused it almost comes across as arrogance, do you not think this will affect your future growth aspirations? I’d love to see hear your opinion, I get your just being honest, but even me as a fan i find it a little annoying 😂
No, and what you call arrogance I call being honest. I don’t talk about half the stuff I could specifically for comments like this, despite the fact it would actually help people.

All depends on the member of staff on the day really, the REAL problem? There isn’t another shop, they don’t have competition
Hi and u collection 4K uhd movies?

Notice how what you’ve just said wouldn’t fit well as a video title or as a hook and yet achieves the same thing
