And considering he's been pulled over twice now already, I can't imagine they'd be very lenient on a 3rd. Also, film is measured in VLT (visual light transmission), where the lower the #, the darker it is. So, if he wanted to stay within the law in Utah, he would have to get a film somewhere in the 55-60% area.

My third had so many issues (I took delivery of it with 1.9 miles on it!!) and the way not just the sales people but folks within the company itself acted/treated me/denied everything totally turned me off from them. I work in the automotive aftermarket and m very active in my local car community/local car culture and have unfortunately met many others who've gone through far worse with them than I have. I doubt I'd even take a free F1 at this point.
You can get tint waivers. Just go to the eye doctor, tell him the sun really effects your eyes while driving, pay him whatever he charges and you’re good to go.

That’s because heat doesn’t actually have anything to do with why he tints his windows. He does it to look cool. No matter how many times he mentioned the heat. There are clear films that block heat better than tint can.
i'd be happy with a 43% limit for tint... where i live, theres a 0% limit, you'll get a ticket and the police will make you remove the tint before they let you go. if it aint factory, it's illegal :(
Just a thought, my uncle just had to have skin cancer removed from the side of his face, he drove alot for his job, YOU drive a lot for your job. Maybe get a dermatologist to write you an exemption for window tint to protect you from all the sun exposure!?! Just a thought, when we don't like the law there's always a loop hole. :)
I own a tint shop in southern Utah and legit 80% or more of my customers request illegal tint. Probably one of the dumbest laws, especially in Southern Utah where we are constantly over 100 degrees in summer.
No the cop said it's not a fix it ticket in the sense that you can't just take it off and start all over again. If you remove it and then put it back on again the punishments become more severe and it spans across all your cars too.

register your business in Montana and register the cars as company cars, you only have to follow state compliance which means, no emissions, no real tickets (camera based), no tint compliance aka you can go as dark as state laws which I believe isn't really regulated in Montana and you dont need inspection stickers and all that. if you need a location check out "americas mailbox" its a rental PO Box which you can grab online for cheap lol and if you really want to you can spend one night and switch to a Montana license which makes your entire fleet valid and you're not bothered about switching your registration or license over to each place! (feel free to do a bit more research as im sure different states offer a similar service with respective laws and compliance codes but for my ppl in NYC like me its been a life saver for a bunch of my people)
Dude, if you moved to Llano county in Texas, you can put almost ANY, and I mean ANY modifications to your car. All they check are lights and brakes are functional. No emissions testing of any kind. You can straight up have stage 5+ mods like racing down pipes and straight uncatted exhaust systems

43% does look really nice… but I do prefer to have slightly darker. If you do 35% you’ll usually be fine and it looks a lot better.

Even if he got a 43% film, it would still be illegal. You have to take in account what the OEM glass is, which is usually around 13-15%.

Glass is opaque to UV-B and UV-C, you can't get sunburnt or get skin cancer for sun exposure through glass.
@@FAB1150 windshields block 90%. Side windows and sunroofs are made of tempered glass. They only block out 50% if you are lucky. You can get cancer.
