  • Creating a faux bubble glazed effect on cement vessels. My inspiration comes from the bubble glaze technique performed on ceramic vessels. This is my first attempt at it, and I will continue to explore other mediums I can use on cement vessels to achieve this look.
Items used were acrylic paint, dish soap and water.
Optional is a Rit Dye solution
This vessel will be sealed later in a manner to be suitable for candlemaking.

That is such a cool technique, need to try this, I have a few vessels I recently casted and need to go over top of them with a stain and sponge technique but I love this better. Thanks for posting.

For this? Sure. What I've learned is if you do this inside your vessel, once you blow your blow your bubbles, turn it upside down so that the liquid doesn't poll on the bottom.
You should protect/seal your vessel after.
And this is a candle vessel for me so I personally don't recommend any acrylics inside where flames will be. But do what you will.
