    Several times she mentioned female throne succession, but she failed to mention that the Netherlands have had 3 queens and 1 queen regent before Willem-Alexander became king. In the 20th century there have only been women on the throne. His mother was queen Beatrix, his grandmother was queen Juliana, his great-grandmother was queen Wilhelmina, and his great-great-grandmother was regent Emma (her husband died when Wilhelmina was only 10 years old).

      @rose rose where the heck did you get that information from? I did a short survey on that information and most articles written about it are simply copies of what one or two self-made scientists have said... ppl of whom it is known that they follow all sorts of complot theories of which it has been proven to be incorrect... therefore, I'm just wondering where you got that information from??? Juliana's mother Queen Wilhelmina had three miscarriages between 1901 and 1906 before giving birth to Juliana in 1909... what you are saying is actually impossible since people without any form of consanguinity cannot become heir to the throne in the Netherlands... Juliana did act "less royal" that her mother in that she wanted to actually meet the people she reigned over in more informal ways (this got turned back a bit when her daughter Beatrix took the throne)...

    • @Prolinium
      @Prolinium 3 года назад

      I think the funniest / saddest was the current Monarch of The Netherlands Grandmother: Queen Juliana. In 1979 they eventually had to hide her from public view... as the government rushed the abdication through in order for her daughter Beatrix to become Queen in the spring of 1980. Queen Juliana developed a habit of licking windows and opening conversations in English to members of her family and ministers !!! Awkward.

      I looked up the school. Hisahito chose to go here. Japan loves to educate, although they can be a bit ignorant about certain cultural certainties; they do enrich their children with a well-educated mind frame. Hisahito will grow into a mind frame of understanding things that many 'Americans' cannot seem to handle and grasp.
      Japan in many respects, has high scores and numbers, especially in education. Their respect for one another is top-notch. Sure, there are still criminals, there are still 'bad' things that happen in Japan - yet Japan seems to be the least *excuse me* retarded *thanks* when it comes to education.
      *****They do have a high suicide rate due to the pressures of being top-student (A's++ only); career choice is crucial in a Japanese family too*****
      As far as a royal son goes? This is exciting to see, he will show us what he is capable of once he reaches of-age.

      Seriously, that family had to modernize or when all of the other female princesses get married, every duties on the royal household will be on the shoulders of that young kid. Female princesses would be out of the picture soon enough and would not need to do royal duties. I feel also so sad for Princess Aiko. She's the daughter of the current Crown Prince who's going to be King soon this 2019 but the role was given to the youngest female member of the family. I hope they don't wait for more years before they modernize. What will happen if Prince Hisahito doesn't have a male heir? He would be the only royal by then.

    I hate this so much, they are presenting it like “speaking multiple languages” is something soooo rare and only the royals do it.
    No
    In Europe every child from the age of 6-8 onwards learns a second language in school which is English ( i don’t know what language you’d learn in the uk tho)
    and you can choose at age 12/13 to learn a third and (atleast in Germany) when you pursue further schooling after year 10 you can choose to learn a fourth language.
    Literally the only country that doesn’t teach their children to be multilingual is the us

    i don't get why people are so obsessed with megan markle and prince harry. they seem like nice people and all, but they're not really near the line of succession? if you're the type of person that cares about royal families and stuff, they're somewhat irrelevant. it would take a bunch of people dying for them to get anywhere close to the throne.
    again, i don't dislike them, but it seems perplexing that so much attention is being given to them considering succession-wise, they're pretty irrelevant. i don't recall there ever being so much attention for prince charles' siblings and their marriages.

    Can I just say Lady Diana’s title was never Princess Diana it was Diana, Princess of Wales. And “Princess Sofía” is actually Infanta Sofía because the only Prince/Princess can be the eldest of the king/Queen. And the Duchess of Cambridge’s name isn’t “Kate Middleton” her name is actually Catherine Elizabeth Mountbatten-Windsor, her title is HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, same goes for the Duchess of Sussex

    • @caligulalonghbottom2629
      @caligulalonghbottom2629 5 лет назад +4

      Im not even sure Catherine's name is HRH Catherine, DUchess of Cambridge. Its simply Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge. Separating her name before her title like that with commas almost implies shes divorced. Shes HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and her christian name is Catherine, it should never be used formally.

    I LOVE IT when Queen Elizabeth emphatically tells Prince William to get up, backing her order with a forceful gesture, when they are on the balcony and William crouches down next to his son, George!!! Guess no matter who you are you better mind your Granny!! She had no problem admonishing him on the world stage!! And Prince William quickly minded her!! That was so cute!!

    • @cjosborne9430
      @cjosborne9430 5 лет назад

      I I too have never forgotten that moment. It was SO IMPORTANT that she felt a need to give William a public reminder which she almost never does. HM gets the "big picture" and didn't want it to look like he was a "bouncing ball," or had fainted, or needed to tie his shoe laces" or was in any way NOT available to the people. Sometimes, when you want to "get down to eye level with your child" you need to stop and remember to just quietly touch your child to remind them to behave. That instant attention (that I see a lot of harried parents doing) can turn a lovely child into a brat. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I watch how some children behave in school, church, public events, and some are having a really difficult time learning to be patient, to cope, and to stop demanding what they want this very second. We are not helping our children grow up to be responsible adults if we are always available to them, as if they are the most important things on the planet. Sometimes, OTHERS are more important, if even for a short time. A child who cannot learn to cope is going to have a really difficult time in life. HM is a TREASURE TROVE of common sense and doing the right thing. A child who is in a public park or jungle gym or running a race should be allowed to go FULL BORE but when it is time for a flag raising or a prayer or taking turns speaking, MUST learn to behave. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ HM was so correct it brought tears to my eyes. She was teaching lessons to BOTH her grandson and great-grandson. Remember, William had a mentally ill mother who "bopped into and out of" his life from 1984 (when he was 2 years old, until she died in 1997 (when he was 15 years old). Diana was so self-centered that she was concerned with what her sons could do for her, not what she could give to them. Remember too, that Diana's mother ran off with yet another man (not Diana's father) and left her at the age of 6 years old with a step-father who resented her very being (she was a constant reminder of his wife's unfaithfulness with another man); he resented the food she ate, the clothes he had to buy for her, and her school fees. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I could never stand Diana (for the sneaky things she did to Charles and the other Royals and for being a cheat and a miserable mother) but it also breaks my heart to think that her mother could leave her in a big house with NO ONE to love her at the tender age of six. She was "the Honorable Diana Spencer" and her stepfather was a "Viscount" but I can't imagine any mother being that cruel. Her half-sisters (Sarah and Jane) and her half-brother (Charles, now the 9th Earl Spencer) were united in their disdain for Diana. The sisters were older and in boarding school together. Charles was younger than Diana but the father LOVED him because it was his biological son. Diana was shunned! The Spencer children loved their father, and blamed their mother for cheating and Diana was living proof of her cheating. They couldn't stand Diana. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When Diana was 12, the stepfather, became the 8th Earl, and she became LADY Diana Spencer, and her 10 year old brother became the Viscount, they moved to Althorp, a house that was larger than Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) on 33,000 acres with 35 outbuildings, about 75 miles north of London and she had NO ONE to talk to besides the servants (who thought she was a pest). And we wonder WHY Diana was mentally ill. She was a mess and so lacking in the brains department (not a college would take her) and she had no idea how to cope. Because her mother never taught her how because she was gone from the house with other men. Diana was a mess and Charles wanted her to "shape up" and she had no idea how, so she had Harry with her riding instructor and then had a string of men that never ended. It seemed that her desperate need for "love" caused her to become a trollop. Diana needed a psychiatrist in the worst way, but the Royals don't do that.

    Why do I get the impression the UK's or British Royal family which is the most famous royal family in the world gets all the attention as a celebrity royal family? It is strange that we have all these other royal families which are real life royal families that many of us don't even know exist. Sometimes I got the impression royal families outside of Britain had gone extinct because they don't mention anything at all about them.

    As a Dutchy, I missed the fact that they changed the law so that princess Wilhelmina could become queen, instead of some far away male cousin. She was about 10 years old when she was technically a queen. Ever since, there had been queens: Juliana, Beatrix and soon Amalia. This happened before the 1900's, so I'd call that quite revolutionary! But I guess Dutch royalty isn't interesting because they are so normal....

    80% of the clips in the intro and various parts of the video are of the Swedish royal family, yet you fail to even mention Denmark? Clearly you're aware that Scandinavia exists, so why leave out one of the oldest monarchies in the World? There are lots of interesting things. Like how our crown prince (future king) has excelled as a people's man, competing in Iron Man challenges and different running competitions alongside the general public! At the latest royal run, where you could join him and his wife and kids on a 5k distance, getting many Danes to participate in excercise. He's known for being so chill and laid back, letting his and Mary's children attend fairly normal schools and generally being down to earth, even riding his children to school on a bike, like the typical Dane. Then there's his wife Mary, future queen, who's Australian and learned Danish in no time, she's a fashion icon and chairman of anti-bullying campaigns. So many interesting points to mention!
