I spent a year going through every single calendar and task manager app just to see if any of them had this one simple teacher. I don’t know why it’s been so difficult to find something that does something that seems obvious lol thank you for making this video
It's absolutely amazing to me that so many of the calendar apps just get things wrong, and foist all these weird workarounds and headaches on their users. Like in google calendar, you can't click and drag a bunch of tasks to some point later in the day because something unexpected came up. Why so many compromises and oversights? Don't any of these people just want to make a product that works?
You can use Fantastical 3 that can add tasks that sync with Todoist but yes using one system does seem easier but then you get class leading task management of Todoist
this is the best video I've seen so far about planning. And I have seen a lot of them recently. GJ And thanks for showing your real tasks managament, helped me a lot. I'll stay with tick tick
Can you change the block colors on the ticktickcalander? Looks super helpful but im not sure my mind would be able to easily separate all that out if it was one color
To answer your question as far as i am aware in ticktick your tasks can be changed colors if they are in different lists, when you make a list it gives you the option to pick an associated color so if you had a task named take out the trash (you could make that in a list called House and pick one color) then you have another task named ignore the neighbors (you can make a list peace and pick a color for that)
@@illusica no problem. I’ve been going back and forth between keeping premium or refunding since I just subbed like a day or two ago and just go back to google calendar and google tasks. But ticktock has some cool features. Hard finding an app that I can use with windows Mac and Linux since I use all 3
Maybe, not sure I went over that in this video. I do have more videos on TickTick, please check them out. And as always, thank you so much for watching this video.
@@YourDigitalMakeover Hey good afternoon. You did not go over this portion if in fact that you do place your appointment and meeting on TickTick. I also went through your videos and you do not have this video. Would be great if you can show us if TickTick even has this function.
It still involves jumping between apps to get a clear month view or even weekly and hourly view. If Todoist got a real calendar view, I’d leave TickTick.
Google Tasks is sad compared to TickTick or Todoist. You can’t nest lists in folders, you can’t add due dates to subtasks, you can’t add attachments to them (only to events), and you can’t filter out task views while still getting notifications.
Not really. You can create tasks in Google Tasks but having them on your calendar and checking the subtasks off where the main task goes away too, does not appear to happen with Google Calendar or Google Tasks.
Question of the Day: What productivity app do you use to keep yourself organized?

This is exactly what I am looking for and the reason I looked up videos and found yours, thanks a ton for making this!
Your Welcome, glad you enjoyed it :)
5:47 What kind of dog does your neighbour have?! 😂 Thanks for making this video.
Pit bull :)
Thanks for posting, I just switched to tick tick based on your video

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
Thank you very much :)
I'm a todoist fan boi

Thanks for this! Can you click and drag multiple appts at once?
Nice to see you back, Jerry. 😎
Thanks. It's great to be back 😀
Very useful thank you!
You're welcome!

To be honest, I am not sure, as I don't use ticktick anymore and have switched over to using Cron and Notion.

So did I miss where how you place appointments and meetings on the calendar?

@@BDV000 Thanks for pointing this out. I will go over it in Part 2 of my system that will be coming out this week.
@@YourDigitalMakeover awesome. Can't wait 😄
OH MY GOD! *brain explodes* thank you for explaining this!
1.75 x speed...just a suggestion
Even the background music sound better this way! Thanks
Pet fish? You are a true animal lover
Do you realize that todoist has a 2 way calendar integration since 2020?
Yes I am aware, however, the way I am conducting the list and calendar view in TickTick outweighs the integration between Todoist & Google Calendar.
It still involves jumping between apps to get a clear month view or even weekly and hourly view. If Todoist got a real calendar view, I’d leave TickTick.
Have you not heard of Google Tasks?
Yes I have
Google Tasks is sad compared to TickTick or Todoist. You can’t nest lists in folders, you can’t add due dates to subtasks, you can’t add attachments to them (only to events), and you can’t filter out task views while still getting notifications.
I think todoist is still the king❤️
Todoist is great in many ways, however, for me, it just wasn't cutting it anymore.
I'm waiting on them to add a monthly calendar view. That would make it awesome.
Haha best chores ever
Pet the fish! 😂
I also like Tick Tick, but what he's doing can be accomplished using lists or subtasks in Google Tasks.

i like skedpal
No disrespect but this was not what I was expecting. This was not that informative and also boring.
I am sure you can find something else that you expected on RUclips expected that is not boring. He acts helped me decide to go with tick tick
@@jessochieng glad he helped someone. Great job brother. Tick tick is awesome 😎
