It's because devs been asked the community to stop using any malicious mods such as avatar ripping, force noclip/flying and crashing with these clients, but yet the anti cheat will do remove most of the quality of life mods like avatar search.
@@The_Nozomi_Heku even though avitar ripping can be done straight from their own server cuz the cache isnt safe. use the avitar ID to rip it no mods needed inside vrchat itself
I will go out and say this, vrchat does care. If they didn't, this update wouldn't have existed... in fact, they wouldn't have released any updates In 2022 other than bug fixes
