What my family does is buy gifts for the kids (optional, only if they can or want to ofcourse) and secret Santa for the adults with a $30 limit so each adult just buys one gift and gets one gift. We teach the kids to give as well so I had my 4 year old at dollar tree picking out gifts for people. He really used his brain and thought about what each person liked, he had so much fun at the store and even wrappped them and wrote on them himself! He keeps going up to family and says “I got you something, it’s something you like.. but I won’t tell you” 😂 Bringing back the true meaning of Christmas cuz spoiling them with all the toys is easy but teaching them the importance of giving and spending time with family is work I’m willing to do❤
We don't buy gifts, stopped buying during the Pandemic, we all get together as a family and stuff our faces with delicious food, that's all that matters to all of us
My husband and I stopped buying gifts for each other and our family members years ago. It was very stressful and most of the time it was something I didn’t want or needed. You’re right it doesn’t make sense to buy each other gifts cause we have the same accounts and we buy what we want. One of the best decisions ever 😃 Hope you have a Merry Christmas 🎄
We didnt buy gifts for anyone besides our household and it was a lot better than other years imo! I told my hubby when the kids get older i want to skip christmas and do a family vacation instead! Spend the money on an experience rather than useless stuff
I seriously have not been into Christmas since my fiance passed away from Cancer. This is the second Christmas without him and I could care less about celebrating anything at this point.
