Some say, well WHO? NP3 and NT7 have lifetime guarantees. I have guns with thousands of rounds through in harsh conditions with 10 years or more older NP3 and ZERO issues. I would love to have "Some Say" explain how nickel plating fades. Since this while this is a super hi tech plating, it's still essentially nickel plating. I have 1960 Nickel plated Colts that still look brand new.
@EliteAmmunition NP3 and NT7 are softer than Hard Chrome or a lot of the current black nitride finishes. They will wear. They usually won't wear through, but over time surfaces which see a lot of friction will take on a far shinier finish than the rest of the gun. NP3/NT7 also scratches easily in the sense that scratches and wear bans are more visible because they are shinny. Also, the finish will tend to take on a slightly darker grey over time, perhaps due to exposure to cleaning and lubricating agents. -- I have an NP3 HK P7. It was done in 1995 and I am speaking from nearly 30 years of user experience.
Jay you are scholar and a genius , thank you very much for being the way you are
How long does NP3 actually last? Some say it lasts nearly forever some say it wears in and slowly fades.
