It’s hard to play a well known real person without it being a caricature or parody, but Elizabeth was just jaw-dropping playing Diana.
I think she even improved from season 5 to season 6, maybe she changed up a few things. Her manner of speaking was identical to Diana this time.
It’s a combination of exceptional talent and dedication to detail. She was so spookily like her that I forgot I was watching a drama during some of her scenes.
When the first actress played her I thought she was phenomenal and it would be a real accomplishment to better her portrayal. Then along comes Elizabeth and simply stunned me.

She’s a method actress. Immersed completely in the role she became Diana. She even called the actors playing William and Harry “my boys “.

I agree with what they said. It wasn’t a “ghost,” I just saw it as Charles and the Queen having imaginary conversations with her, something you would probably do if someone was just suddenly gone like that . I thought it was well handled.

Season 6 is so much better than Season 5. Elizabeth Debicki is outstanding. The actors that played Dodi and his father were terrific. I still do not understand the choices for Charles, the Queen and Prince Phillip. But so far, really a great way to end the series.

This is a great series but people should realize that it part fiction. Nobody knows what most of the conversations are between these people and take those conversations as fact.
Do you remember just how painfully sad we all felt that day for William and Harry after their beloved mother died, in fact we had great empathy for the boys/men that carried on for decades after. Yet……
When Harry saw the same kind of treatment happening to his wife and later his children, and was determined not allow history to repeat itself. Soooo many of you had already drank the kool-aid, the royal and British propaganda of disgusting racist hatred, the kind princess Dianna had been fighting against up to the day she died !!!

The ghost was incredibly tacky and took this well produced series into the realm of soapy, bad-written sap. It was hard to watch.
Totally disagree, the ghost scenes were handed absolutely gently and beautifully. As the actress said, it was done in a way of imaginary conversation. And all "ghost" scenes brought essential thoughts of characters on screen.
To you. To me it wasn't a ghost, it was verbalization if the characters thoughts charles/the queen
I think it's pretty common for people to have imaginary conversations with those who are passed. It's dramatic license for the show of course. But I think it worked alright.
it was not a ghost at all in my opinion. Just what happens after someone dies, you play out conversations you could still have with them in your mind.
If they are going to have ghosts on the show, might as well have vampires too, maybe bring Buffy in to fight them? great for ratings.
