You inadvertently created Fenral from the black bulls in black clover anime. Great build. One of my most epic moments, our party was ambushed by one of those giant centipede like monsters that hide in ice,we were on our way to a tpk all resources spent, marshales down, I the cleric dropped my mace and pushed one of the party members out of the way and I was picked up in the maw of the creature, no spells no weapons , I did the only thing a cleric could do, I prayed that my party would survive this even if it cost my life , I rolled a nat 20 , my prayers were so selfless it caught the attention of my deity , I was transported to a hall where he and I had a feast and talked , after he got board of me he sent me back to the tavern I met the party and there they were, one of the party slapped my face and gave me a hug I had been gone 3 months despite the fact it felt like a couple of hours to me

I can imagine that as they are part wildfire druid, every time a teleportation is used, it appears as if the person teleporting goes up into visual ash and sparks and appears somewhere else, causing the same effect when they appear.

That sounds like an amazing character, really fun!
And the most epic moment I had was when my party fought an opposing adventuring party (all of them NPCs, which we could have allied with, but we didn't because we were on a mission against their guild). Anyway, the fight wasn't going all that well, and soon only our Warlock was left standing (with 1 HP) against two enemies (Rogue, Cleric, Battlesmith and Ranger on death-saves). Then our Battlesmith rolled a nat20 on his death-save, getting up and taking down one enemy before getting knocked back down again himself. It was our Warlock's turn again, and he said he would speak a little prayer asking for his patron to grant him power (kindly asking the DM for advantage on his eldritch blast). The DM allowed advantage, and the Warlock rolled a nat20, barely dealing enough damage to take down the last enemy. the rest of us survived the death-saves or were then stabilized by the Warlock

Thunderstep also works for this build and we used this combination yesterday with me using vortex warp to warp an ally into a Mosh next to another ally. The teleported one grabbed the second ally and thunderstepped out.

One of my favorite game experiences was a one-shot where we had to go up this incredible steel incline that took us to 1/3 speed, MID COMBAT, and what happened was a hilarious development where it was faster for the wildfire druid to teleport us every turn

THIS! I think this build shows YOU just leveled up. This is very original, synergistic and effective.
I agree with order cleric 1 for sure. This is one you should put around the internet as a write up. Proabbly the most profound build I've seen on your channel. Well done!

Great Build! I love the flavor and battle tactics this has. One small problem with it, the wildfire spirit can be killed and when it is we do less teleporting. I would recommend sticking with Wildfire druid, taking the Qunadrix student background (for vortex warp), and probably going for the mark of passage human (for misty step + dimension door). You could even throw in a few levels of Peace cleric as well for your teammates teleporting even more (although I personally avoid using it and Twilight since they are by far the best subclasses ever implemented), not to mention you would be giving up infinite wildfire spirits at level 20.

Most epic moment? I've had some interesting encounters, but here's one from early in my gamer career.
My party was at level 6 (my druid, a fighter, a rogue, and a sorcerer), and we had to take out an army of undead. We had a teleportation item with limited uses that could move our party around to places we could see. So we vorp into the middle of the enemy camp next to the necromancer's tent, and I cast plant growth, leaving the area around us unaffected by tying down most of the army. We start fighting the level 13 necromancer and her pet zombie beholder. The sorcerer had wild magic go off before she died of the Horrid Wilting spell. She was resurrected by her wild magic. We killed the necromancer and walked outside as the 600 zombies were starting to get close to the tent (thank goodness for Plant Growth). I fire off a Thunderwave to attract the idiot zombies to the center of the overgrowth. We teleport to the edge of the clearing and I use flame sphere to set the grass on fire while our Sorcerer used firebolt to start fires where the flane sphere couldn't go. I fired off one more Thunderwave to attract the zombies into the mouth of our trap, and then we left them to burn to death. And that's how my druid made it to level 7: Farming zombies 😁.

Just found your channel! I personally play DnD more for a roleplaying aspect than the gameplay aspect, but I still found this idea really interesting and fun. Gave me an idea for a pacifist wizard, or one cursed to never be able to directly damage someone, although I don’t think that my future parties would like that too much, lol.
My most epic moment was when my DnD party decided to take a rest in a dungeon before we fought a necromancer who worked for an empire we were trying to overthrow. My character, a knowledge cleric named Dahlia, was suspicious of the situation, so she popped Knowledge of the Ages to get a stealth proficiency, rolled a nat 20, and snuck over to the boss chamber alone, where she found out the Necromancer was about to teleport above the party with an undead army while they were resting. She convinced the necromancer of the fact that he didn’t owe the Empire anything and that it would be best if he just cut his losses and left, since we had just defeated their most powerful general. He did so, and the rest of the party was left profoundly confused when they woke up and the boss chamber was empty.

another homerun Sage I love the the teleport package and how it allows for adding other things and going in so many directions (like teleporting ha ha)... how about Summon Fey, getting a little buddy to add some an extra synergy, they can teleport around themselves and with some planning and placement you can Benign Transposition with them (for those times when your party are where they want to be you still have a way to teleport around)... and I'm not sure if you're aware of this but if you use Benign Transposition 1st on your turn you get a free teleport and then can use a bonus action to Misty Step somewhere else (that's 2 teleports in one turn, you still have your movement to help get exactly where you need to be) and that very Misty Step spell will recharge your Benign Transposition.
hope so many have fun with this, I had just over half of this build already made myself and just needed to add the druid part and several of the spells

    Definitely trying this build.
I took your sniper build for a playable character in our current 5e Steampunk game using the Spelljamner setting, massaged it to fit the setting. I present to you, the Little Big Game Hunter.
Small Owlin Astral Drifter (he looked into the Abyss, and Abyss exchange recipes and contact information), 1 level in Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, then straight Djinni Genie Warlock with Eldritch Spear, Agonizing Blast, Improved Familiar, Pact of the Chain for an Imp, and Spell Sniper. We are currently playing at level 7 on a small world that orbits a red dwarf, so while it’s warm enough, it’s in perpetual twilight. This means 600’ Eldritch Blasts are good enough. With 11 Cantrips, 13 spells, but only 2 lvl 1 slots and 2 lvl 3 pact slots, this guy relies on his Cantrips while saving his slots for Big things. I talked the DM into allow him to have a Shavarann Birch Focus (+1 to Force damage rolls) shaped like a size small musket stock with a Spyglass mounted but no barrel or receiver, which he uses as a hunting rifle that fires Eldritch beams 600’ for 1d10+4 force on each hit, +1d6 necrotic if hex is used, +3 Thunder on the first hit. He can flit around as needed, and even hover behind a silent image of a small cloud while raining beams with advantage. The Imp can use his spells that require concentration (such as Hex), freeing him up to use a second concentration spell, turning the two into a sniper team with a shooter and a spotter. His Imp is a feather Imp (a Chikul’chol, or feathered devil) that looks and acts like a small version of the Owlin, only with teeth instead of a tail. The hunter’s name?
    Boom Chachalaca

Played an Armorer Artificer in a session DMed by one of my Curse of Strahd players and I absolutely LOVE Vortex Warp.
I guess my only criticism, and this is very slight, is that Druids are encouraged not to use any metal. However this just seems to be a roleplay encouragement and to each their own!
If i play this i might ask my DM to let me use the Survival Mantle armor (equivalent to Half Plate Armor) from Volo's Guide To Monsters to overcome the no-metal restriction.

  • @SharpKris

In tables where Silvery Barbs and Vortex Warp are banned (all the tables I know), I utilize the ability of the Scribe Wizard by casting Thunder Step with the Awakened Spell Book. By manifesting the book next to another player within a range of 60 feet as a bonus action, I can then cast Thunder Step from that location as if I were present there. This principle also applies to any spell I possess that affects other individuals.
The more challenging question pertains to whether or not I, as the caster, am teleported along with the manifested mind and the other person, or if only the manifested mind and the other person are teleported.

Wow i love the theme if this build. Never saw it anywere else. Totaly going on the list of "characters I always want to try but never get to because my party never finds a date to play".
Best/ most epic moment was when I solo carried a fight against the BBEG of Rime of the Frostmaiden. Was playing a Swashbuckler Rogue/ Celestial Warlock and normally I roll by far the worst in our group, so fights arent that satisfying for me. But in this fight I rolled really well and could use all of my features and abilities to the max. Our fighter who is by far the best damage dealer in our group got cursed by a sword he picked up and went against us right from the start. We had to fight against the right hand, 2 frost giants and our fighter with my character, a warlock and a druid. Both of the others were occupied by the giants. I had to fight off the right hand first which I actually did pretty fast because of some nat 20s together with sneak attack and then kited our fighter with booming blade. And I was the only one who could pull this off against our sentinel fighter because of the swashbuckler feat. Between dealing damage I got our other team members back up with the celestial warlock heals. It was such a fun fight!
And right after that fight he died. RIP Paggs.

Love the build and the idea of playing it. What I might do to take it further would be to swap Wizard for Sorcerer. Twinned spell Vortex Warp would be getting to double the team transportation, and I believe you could still get all the great teleportation spells. Admittedly giving up Benign Teleportation and prepared spells.
My most baddass RPG moment wasn’t a DnD, it was set in the X-men universe.
I was an immortal mutant who had transformed into a monstrous kaiju of earth and sand. Years ago they were betrayed and incinerated in an inferno which forever mentally scarred then and left with a macabre fascination of what is beyond the veil of death.
We were battling a really annoying teleportating mini boss and his goons right next to the same inferno I had ‘died’ in, it was going badly. My kaiju threw themselves into the middle of the baddies and barely survived a brutal round of attacks. When it came to my turn, I attempted a grapple on the boss, (success) then used all movement to throw us both into the fiery conflagration.
As the villain screamed in terror, I muffled him with one hand and gently whispered: “Shhhhh… you won’t want to miss this next part…”
    🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Nice build! My Dwarf cleric from 2nd edition had my best moments. Average at best stats, nothing like 5e crazy subclasses, so I made up for it by being a mad doctor. Just mad that I was pigeon holed into the healer, with not much else to do.
Grabbing two shields and tanking hits from a fiery ballista barricade in a dungeon hallway so my party could get close enough to leap over the wall. Or maybe it was my flying as a giant eagle, carrying a bbeg that could only not kill me in one hit if he rolled a 1.
He did! 😂😂 So I slammed him into a cliff over a deep chasm by brushing him off as I flew just over the edge. That was probably my favorite moment.

As you pointed out, summon shadowspawn is the ideal spell for this build. Setting aside the movement restriction package (which fits perfectly), the shadowspawn is one of the best upcasting spells in the game. We're going to have 4th level slots sitting around from the multi-class, so this is perfect.

I don't know if this is epic as it is memorable, but I was DMing Princes of the Apocalypse for some new players. Through the entire campaign, they were goofy, lighthearted, and generally chaotic good. Then I had the cult kill an NPC they were fond of and they did a complete 180 against that cult. Went right to their hideout, killed EVERYONE. "Hey, there's a door up ahead." Barbarian kicks it open, wizard fireballs inside without blinking to think who is in there. They were cold, and they got their vengeance.

I play in a very high-powered group the DM let's us use down time (we get 2 months per session 4 if you do the recap) for making gear/taking feats. I had a beast of a half ork vengeance paladin with a custom maul that did 8d6 base dam (crazy I know, but we face crazy enemies [max hp legendary monsters by 5 lvl]) the death cleric had just used his path of the grave CD. I was the only one facing the undead turle dragon and getting my ass kicked. After the clerics turn, a legendary action drops me. I have my racial not dead yet ability and orkish fury, so pop up and crit it drop a lvl 3 smite. I roll 19d6 + 10d8 + 17 doing damn near max damage 196 out of a possible 211. Then doubled cause of the cleric. It had 450 hp and had taken a few hit in round one so my 392 damage crit dropped in round two. Which was good as it had gotten off two breath attacks dropping half the party. Truly epic!!!

It takes a lot of preparation and some leeway with the DM, but I was able to create a railgun with a 1st Level spell and a ranged weapon.
It takes two turns. Turn 1: Ready an arrow in a bow or a bolt in a crossbow, and ready it. Do not fire. (It can be used as a reaction but then you lose progress.) Turn 2: Standard Action, cast _Catapult_. Target the arrow or bolt, but just before the spell triggers....Bonus Action, loose the arrow or fire the bolt. The spell is still targeting the ammo.
The result: The kinetic energy from both the bow or crossbow and _Catapult_ combine, making that arrow go even faster. In some tables, it can break the sound barrier. The arrow still hits like a normal weapon, but the damage is that of _Catapult._ It also creates a shockwave that would get people's attention.

After clarification that he is prone. I said "Decap the DK"
DM: well you can't exactly decap. But I'll allow it if you can roll a nat 20. If not double damage.
    I roll.
The table watches the die dance across the table.
I look away cause I know how horrible my luck is.
The gasping from the other players was epic. And thw resounding cheers as I did roll that nat 20
So I did indeed "Decap the DK"
Then the mount attacked. Rolled a 20 and knocked me unconscious for 4 turns.

Someone presented a "gate specialist" in the comments, someone who creates portals for all their allies. Along with that all their counterspells and dispel magics would be sucking that magic through another portal. As far as backstory goes, I think it can go with a lot, my favorite so far is a character who grew up in a place and all he wanted to do was explore and leave, but he was forbidden from leaving his town/tower so while he was studying magic anyways he just learned all the teleportation spells. Epic moment: melting the face on a sizeable black dragon at 3rd level.
Dmitre is a happy little death cleric; a perky Goth. We were defending a decrepit keep in the wilderness (basic mission was to decide which of several factions got ownership of the keep). We had befriended (to the extent possible) a young red dragon and the Red Scale Collective kobold tribe currently occupying the ruins (an anarcho-syndicalist commune which took it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week), allied with hunter-gatherer orcs. The opposition was a corrupt human noble who had fallen under the influence of a succubus, a tribe of highly militaristic mercenary orcs who had stolen the hunter-gatherer orc tribe's lands, and a between-young-and-adult black dragon. History does not record if the succubus had "dealt" with the bad dragon.... ahem anyway. The two dragons had met and fought before, with our ally coming out the worse. Indeed, the only reason he was an ally was that we had 1) healed him, 2) obtained items from the keep which the red dragon demanded (including a plush "Tommy the Turtle"... long story), and 3) convinced the red dragon that with us helping him ("serving" was the term we used... red dragon ego and all that) he could take his hated rival with our loyal help. The kobolds thought this was an awesome plan!
The clear intent of the DM was that the two dragons fighting was to be a backdrop to the players defending the keep from the mercenary orcs, which the black dragon was going to drop paratrooper-like over the wall. Yes, that was the plan the DM had. Heh heh.
"Dimitre asks Crimsonwings if he can ride him into battle on his back. He offers to keep Crimsonwings healed, and to attack orc archers."
"I am NOT A RIDING BEAST!"
"Of course not, Mighty Crimsonwings! I am but a weapon you can use to regain your rightful place! Allow me to once again serve you, to bind your wounds, and to strike down those who even now are mocking your name!"
"Ooookay. Give me a Persuasion check."
Nat-20. Proficient in Persuasion, 14 Charisma, Guidance cantrip. 25.
    "...right. It's your funeral..,"
DM advice: never call for a roll unless you're prepared to handle a nat-20 and a nat-1.
The fight was on. Dimitre was riding into battle on the back of a dragon, HOW COOL! I mean, who cares if he gets melted or something. The DM let me decide what the basic tactic for my best friend Crimsonwings was... I said to dive down from the sky with the sun behind us to blind the enemy to our presence and strike him into the thick mud before he could drop the orc paratroopers. This worked well... the two dragons then started brawling. Dimitre went sailing into the mud upon impact, of course, but luckily mud is soft. While the dragons tore at each other, Dimitre concentrated on 1) keeping the dragons as much between him and the also-in-the-mud orcs as possible and 2) staying the hell away from their faces, as they were breathing on each other at every chance/recharge (though poor Crimsonwings couldn't get a recharge for love or money). So move and twin Chill Touch/Toll the dead for a couple of rounds (a perk of death clerics), getting smacked in the face by flailing tails a couple of times. Managed to toss in a Healing Word once or twice, but Dimitre was almost out of spell slots pretty quickly, and Crimsonwings was getting beat up pretty good. On the other hand, the enemy dragon was taking arrows from the battlements, and it was adding up. Even so, well, he was a BIG BAG OF HIT POINTS which we hadn't been intended to fight directly.
Crimsonwings was grappling (to keep him from flying away) and biting the enemy dragon, but was almost down, with the enemy dragon atop him. Dimitre had run out of ways to dodge, and the DM said that the enemy dragon locked eyes with Dimitre and was inhaling deeply to... (yep, recharged, he was letting me know what was going to happen next round. I had a backup character in mind just in case, but...)
    DM: What does Dimitre do?
Me: I'm close to the bad dragon's head, right?
DM: And getting closer. He's opening his jaws to slag you with acid, byebye, you asked for it...
Me: Sooo given he's still wrestling with Crimsonwings, I'd have Advantage from an ally for a melee attack, right?
    DM: Yep.
Me: I cast Inflict Wounds at second level (this was my last spell slot).
DM: Roll it with Advantage. Melee spell attack.
    Me: That's a 2 for an adjusted 7... and a natural 20.
DM: We'll write that on your tombstone after you get dissolved in a moment. Roll it and double.
Me: (4d10). 10 10 8 5... that's 33. Double to 66. And I'm using my Touch of Death Channel Divinity for +11 for... 77 points of necrotic damage.
DM: (later told me the bad dragon was down to 75 hit points... now zero). Shit. Um. Crap. How do you want to do this?
Me: As the bad dragon gapes to slag Dimitre, Dimitre reaches up and grips one of the dragon's fangs. The necrotic rot of death immediately travels up the nerve channel inside the tooth, along the nerve on the side of the dragon's skull, and into his brain. The skin and bone rot away to nothing. Dimitre tugs... and the fang and half the dragon's upper jaw just sort of sloughs off and falls into the mud. As the dragon screams its mortal agony, Dimitre places a gentle hand on what's left of its head and says "Shhh... it'll all be over in a moment... shhh, don't cry, let go... there." As the light of life goes out from the dragon's remaining eye, Dimitre shakes the remaining ruined flesh and bone from the fang and, gripping it like a dagger, turns to face the commando-orcs and says... "You're next."
DM: ...you're one sick motherfucker, you know that, right?
    Me: heeheeheehee!
DM: The orcs wet themselves and immediately surrender. (good thing, as Dimitre was down to about a dozen hit points and down to cantrips with half a dozen armored orcs nearby)
And that was how a third level character did 77 points of damage with a single touch, melted a dragon's face, made one tribe of orcs pee themselves, was declared an honorary orc by the other tribe (and the initiation that night almost killed Dimitre, but worth it! Orcs know how to PARTY, and the scars from the initiation are something Dimitre is proud of to this day) and won as much friendship and respect as possible (not TOO much of the latter) from a red dragon. The rest of the party, which had been fighting off the first paratrooper-drop (the INTENDED fight, heeheeehee) then sallied forth and took out the succubus while Dimitre used healing kits and flattering words on his dragon-lord.
(Addendum: months later, as Dimitre and crew were in another adventure dealing with Fey politics, stealthy Red Scale Collective kobold rogues caught up to the party and left a crudely-made Crimsonwings plush dragon with a four-foot wingspan in Dimitre's inn room, along with an appropriately-scaled equally-crudely-made Dimitre action-figure, as a gift from the keep-owner Crimsonwings to his loyal little vassal. It is Dimitre's most prized treasure in the world. I'm not sure yet, but I think the Fey from that adventure found these gifts and did something to them to empower them somehow. That'd be like them to do something amusing like that.)

Don’t forget Scatter at 6th level spells

The only drawback to the multiclass levels if being a whole spell level behind pure casters. Not the biggest deal if you have good spells for upcasting (which summons can be for even-leveled spell slots).
I didn't go quite all-in on teleports but I'm currently playing a Divination Wizard with a focus on control of probability (Portent, Guidance, Help actions) and positioning (Telekinetic feat, Vortex Warp, etc.).
I also feel people really sleep on Order Domain. That first level feature can be really really good, especially with a Rogue in the party.

    Most recent epic moment:
Perfect synergy between druid articifer and fighter.
We(3 x lvl4) were ambushed by a Chimera and caught in it's fiery breath, auwa. The Chimera flew up to 50 feet high in darkness, putting it out of range for anything feasible for our group. Untill...
The druid called down a moonbeam, marking the target, our articifer cast fearie fire and succeeded.
I the fighter as Trevor Belmont, with two whips realised I had the Jump buff still on me. I ran over some crates and jumped 40 ft. High then double attacking with adv. Critting twice, using Trip attack mid air. Dangling with my whip wrapped around 1 wing and foot crashing the Chimera down into the ground. Getting the beast down to very few HP ( it took 70~ DMG) Almost breaking my own ankle in the land. I duck for the next fire breath and two attacks and was almost on my last power while the other two delivered the finishing blow.
    It was unbelievable...

I like all the teleportation stuff but was considering going Wildfire Druid to 6th level to get the Enhanced Bond feature which allows you to roll a d8 and add that to any spell's fire damage roll or a spell that restores hp.
Next take 2 levels in Wizard and take the Order of Scribes so that you can use the Awakened Spellbook feature to change Magic Missile to fire damage.
They each now do 1d4+1+1d8 per missile, an average of 8. So 24 fire damage with a 1st level spell slot. All this by level 8 total which comes in at 2 levels lower than the level 10 feature of an Evocation Wizard's feature Empowered Evocation which, if your INT is maxed out at 20, gives you an average Magic Missile of 8.5, that's 1.5 more damage for a 1st level spell slot.
And on another note, what about that 6th level Wildfire Druid feature Enhanced Bond's last sentence. If the range is NOT self then you can cast it from the Fire Spirit's location.
That's every spell without a range of self.
Remote casting of almost every spell you have!!!

The demon one taped though the main bad guy for most of the campaign that got betrayed and I help out rescued saved me and then I casted banished on myself.

You can't actually dispel summoned creatures, as they aren't ongoing effects but creatures that have been summoned from somewhere else. You can counterspell them, but can't dispel them. Banishing though, that works. (Please ignore, turns out you can. Although I personally think that shouldn't be the case)

    • @anishshirodkar484
      @anishshirodkar484 Год назад +1

You can, as dispel is put directly on a creature and says that any spell that affects that target ends, and summoning it is a spell that targets it, and as such it can be dispelled

@@anishshirodkar484 True - I din't have any source for this, but I would argue for the exception of a few select spells, like Summon Greater demon, in which breaking the spell/concentration would break your control on the creature instead of banishing it

while this is a fantastic build, i think going a single level into sorcerer instead of 3 into wizard to get vortex warp would be more useful, especially cause you can twin spell it later. At level 5, if you are in a group, and have 3 teammates nearby, you can twinned spell vortex warp, then bonus action fey step.
