Hello, what is the brand of the gun in the video? I have the same one, I bought it in a set from Ceracote and I need to buy replacement parts for it in Europe
i know its important to keep it clean but really they're all or mostly metal should be able to soak the entire thing in acetone and/or store it like that that dissolves just about everything including cyanoacrylates and epoxy, otherwise someone should just invent a "burner" paint gun for diy people I guess in some ways that's harbor freight 😄
Are you saying soak then remove or actually store it in a bucket of acetone? (I fully realize that may sound ignorant but paint guns are a new thing for me.....I'm a wipe on stain kind of guy but this lady ordered and all white piece so I had to learn quick)
@@haystack17 oh this was a pretty old comment but yes if it's all metal it should be safe to soak it like that. but guns also have some non metal seals, rubber, o-rings, nylon etc often, so you would have to disassemble it and separate those out.
This a not good explain video the little spring and plastic goes back in the gun how spring first plastic after very confusing in that part very specific in what products to buy 🧐
Yes. I once painted my house (one story, 1600 square feet). Prepping to paint took a whole day. Actual painting with a similar spray gun took about 90 minutes for two coats, not counting the lunch break to let the first coat dry. Cleanup - cleaning the equipment and tearing down and disposing of the masking material - took another half day. It was still much quicker than a brush or roller, and looked better.
to buy all this tools and cleaning products is almost the same price as buying a new paint gun lol
I clean the cup first then run gun wash through the gun before disassembly
note good luck finding a tip cleaner for the 1.3. lmk if you found one that fits in that tiny hole.
Well many cleaner for the tips is available here
Love that aerosol cleaner!
Man this is more complicated than washing dishes
How long you keep the gun in thinner? How many hours or minutes?

That's paint thinner right? Can i use acetone?
Yes
looks like the clean up cost more time than the paint job. 🤣

Honestly, the gun seems too complicated to disassemble and assemble. Could use a DFM review and simplify the design to fewer parts.
I need free stuff 😢
