Some of their top songs Flying Whales, Heaviest Matter in the Universe, Stranded and if you wanna see how great Mario the drummer is listen to The Art of Dying and Esoteric Surgery check those out
Gojira are insane, I remember they supported Alter Bridge in the UK and I wasn’t a fan at that point. Proper gutted I missed out catching them live at that gig. Check out Flying Whales and Heaviest Matter Of The Universe
Subbed. I got into them late as well but they’ve been around since the late 90s!!! Their earlier stuff is brutal and they’ve changed their sound on the more recent albums. But there’s so much to like in their discography!!!
Excellente réaction messieurs. Gojira are in the circuit for a long time. You should be amazed by lots of their songs. Especially live...... Mind blowing performances. They have songs with cleaner vocals or also with harsher vocals. Softer tunes, ballads, all kind of things. They have a huge catalog. Rarely bad songs....insane.
Here's my go to list of Gojira tracks for anyone new to the band (excluding their upcoming 7th album) - there are many(!) more great tracks but these are the 'chef's specials' on the menu 😉👌 3rd album: From mars to sirius - The heaviest matter in the universe - Flying whales - Where Dragons dwell (youtube: live at hellfest 2013 - a must see) - Global warming (youtube: live studio) 4th album: The way of all flesh - Toxic Garbage Island - The art of dying - Vacuity 5th album: L'enfant sauvage - The gift of guilt - L'enfant sauvage - Born in Winter 6th album: Magma - Stranded - Silvera - The cell / or / shooting star (live at bbc) - Pray (live at red rocks) 2nd album: The link - Embrace the world - Indians - Rememberance 1st album: Terra incognita - Space time - Lizard skin / or /clone - Love / or / blow me away (you)niverse It's hard to just pick 3 or 4 tracks per album. They are also sick live - being in a mosh pit to Backbone was brutal.
Definitely go down the Gojira rabbit hole guys. Music is all personal preference but for me they're the best band in metal today. Cant make a bad song, endless amount of killer tracks. Incredible live and one of the best drummers on the planet. As good introductory tracks maybe go Silvera or Stranded or go slightly heavier with Le Enfant Sauvage and go from there.
Just subscribed.. you guys have so much Gojira in front of you. They started in 1996, so some of the musical influences you hear are actually contemporaries... or were even influenced by Gojira. Pay attention to what other people have recommended and you’ll be fine. Pretty much their entire discography is worth your time.
Welcome lads! You can do the other Gojira recommendations first and when you're ready you can graduate to the song with the most metal lyric ever- "Toxic Garbage Island".
Well, beware the wallabies. Once you are trapped in Gojira's net, you cannot get out of it. Watch live performances. My favs are "Pray" at Red Rocks and "gift of Guilt" at brixton academy, but in fact, you can watch any of their performances. ... Cheers from France !
Gojira is actually japanese for Godzilla, they wanted to go for godzilla as a name but the 1998 film just got out and they changed it, for the best IMO
Gojira reaction? New sub! I could write a book about these guys. They were originally called godzilla but changed their name late 90’s. They started of as death metal band (kind of morbid angel influenced). But even better tbh, it’s called Godzilla -Possessed. Their first ‘ep’. Than they have Terra Incognita, their first real album. It’s heavy heavy. So much to suggest but to keep it short, here some recommendations: Just so you know, Gojira is known to be very tight live, and i must say that 80% of their discography sounds much better live than studio. I don’t why, but studio they sound a bit dull, over processed to me, at least their latest two. They have very specific concerts where they absolutely shine. If you have a free hour, just check out the complete Link Alive concert, it’s from 2003, but it’s one hell of an experience, so raw and heavy. Here are some of my favourites of theirs in no particular order: Wisdom comes (live Brixton Academy) Gojira Lizard Skin - Vieilles Charrues Clone (Studio) Ocean planet (Live Rio) A Sight to Behold (Live Vieilles Charrues) Blow me away you (Studio & The link Alive) Love (Live Rio) Embrace the world The link alive) heavy drumming in this one Oroborus (eurockeenes concert) Art of Dying (Live Vieilles Charrues) Indians (Live Vieilles Charrues) My last creation (studio) Gift of guilt live at Brixton academy In the Forest Link Alive Remembrance the link alive Toxic garbage island vieilles charrues I’d recommend up next the art of dying (Vieilles charrues concert) or Remembrance (The Link alive concert) you’re gonna love their sound. They really are different. Cheers from Belgium
Veil of Maya, Outsider and Viscera. Their two latest tracks, stepped it up a few notches from previous releases. Best heavy as fuck band in the world today. Greetings from Melbourne.
You've just opened Pandora's box. Gojira are the band you've been missing your whole life!
Evidently me too. Been aware of them for years but never gave them much of a chance.
I had this problem until about 2 years ago.
Then along came Orbit Culture. My god the great music doesn't stop coming! lol
Bloody legends, you need more Gojira in your life!
Some of their top songs Flying Whales, Heaviest Matter in the Universe, Stranded and if you wanna see how great Mario the drummer is listen to The Art of Dying and Esoteric Surgery check those out
Merci
My most antecipated album of the year
L'Enfant Sauvage is probs Gojira's entry-level track and it slaps
They have way better tracks than that.. come on stop being a basic fan
@@josephm6320 It's easily one of their best, relax.
@@josephm6320 gatekeeping is cringe bro
Thanks for the suggestion
Cool video, sick song, the drummer is insane! Amazing!

Gojira are insane, I remember they supported Alter Bridge in the UK and I wasn’t a fan at that point. Proper gutted I missed out catching them live at that gig. Check out Flying Whales and Heaviest Matter Of The Universe
They were on a festival here too and I completely just didn’t bother as I wasn’t a fan. Regretting that now!
Subbed. I got into them late as well but they’ve been around since the late 90s!!! Their earlier stuff is brutal and they’ve changed their sound on the more recent albums. But there’s so much to like in their discography!!!

Hey mate 🤘🏽
@@johnnyneedham9831 Cheeeeeeeeers Johnny...
You guys need to check out The Way Of All Flesh
React Gojira-Backbone
you have to listen to the heaviest matter in the universe!
Wow Johnny, good Italian pronunciation!
Gojira- last creation, Where Dragons dwell live, or the art of dying, basic fans going to give you stuff that's basic tracks people react to
not everyone can be as cool as you, clearly
I am but a simple man. I see a Gojira reaction, I click the link.
You gotta do Stranded from them!!
the name Gojira is japanese, not french. Actually it's the original name of Godzilla.
Haha it was a joke... hence the little picture of Godzilla on the thumbnail.
You guys should definitely react to" In Fragments" new single "Katharsis". Hard stuff 😉!
Gojira reaction nice !!! You get a sub from me
2008 the way of all flesh...you can't not fall in love
2:16 I can tell you right now, Mario Duplantier goes ham every single song
Add to the Gojira list, Heaviest Matter In The Universe. Make sure you strap yourself into your chair before hitting play.
Can you guys react to the cover of Driver's License by Our Last Night? Or even check out some of their OG Music.
Quite possibly!
watch "where dragons dwell" live at hellfest...yw
Did you guys ever get around to listening to more from them?😅
Moar.
aussie metal heads more like aussie air heads 8)
