- Hullbreacher is one of my favorite cards to play with in Legacy, and while it was legal during Supreme Drafts of the Vintage Cube, it was also a ton of fun to play with. I hope they put this bad boy back into the normal Vintage Cube list someday soon :(

Cube doesn’t have banned cards, it just has cards they chose not to include. The concept of banning doesn’t make sense when you’re talking about limited

@@JazzOfTheStinson i mean, i think his point is more something like to ban a card from a limited set is frivolous, due to the format. Technically, Hullbreacher is banned in inistrad block cubes, but you'd never say it was due to power levels.
I get the point of what this video is saying, though. Hullbreacher is a vintage and legacy staple that /should/ be fine in the cube environment, but due to power reasons, they refuse to put it in for fun reasons. Hullbreacher was a mistake.

banned refers to cards you can’t include in a constructed deck. The vintage cube changes each time it’s on mtgo and the ppl in charge decide which cards to include with each iteration. There are over 20k cards in magic not included in the the vintage cube and probably several hundred that have at once been in and later removed for various reasons. The current curator of the vintage cube was on LR recently if you want some invite to the direction of the most recent cube

Blue is super OP in supreme vintage draft. So it's not a terrible idea to include a hate card for blue. Although, to be fair, Hullbreacher is blue.

I run hullbreacher in my commander mill deck. I had it out and used peer into the abyss on a friend of mine and made like 40 treasures. I shortly won after that.

I saved some videos of my supreme drafts. Super fun format.
I wish they would bring back the old version of Supreme Drafting, where you could open multiples of each card. Now once I P1P1 a Lotus, I don't get any more :(

This card isn't actually banned. It's just not included in the vintage cube. A ton of other cards are also not included in the vintage cube.

@@IslandGoSAMe we can change it to something else, like "if a player would draw their second card in a turn, instead ypu create a treasure token" just to get around your draw step draw
Hullbreacher plus wheel is 6 mana and can be countered. Personally I feel like hullbreacher is great for the format and forces people to play fair magic I don’t see ho hosing a recall is seen as unfair.
Bro, by your logic everything is fair because it can be countered. The problem with Hullbreacher is that if you don't have an instant anwser in hand and avalible mana then you basically lost because enemy is up 7 cards and 6 treasures. Good look beating that.
There’s literally 3 mana instant speed 2 card combos in the game that win on the spot I don’t see how 6 mana in a format like legacy is unfair when every deck is packing 12 no mana counter spells in the main

If it doesn't get countered/removed instantly then it's free win as soon as turn 6 because not only you have more cards than all of your opponents combined but also, you get fucking 18 treasures. Not even mentioning that the Hullbreacher player get cards into the graveyard which can synergize later. Good luck beating that. Even if you get lucky it's almost impossible. It's neither fun nor fair.
@@tunamako5733 Yeah man, just have bolt/swords/path/etc in your opening hand in a singleton format every single game, idiot. Just always have (and hold up mana for) removal for every single overpowered threat that all of your opponents play every single turn of the game, every time. Ez
@S1L3NTDr460n don't know why we gotta start calling people names bud. It's my opinion, never said that mine was perfection. My decks always consist of 10 removal/interaction, which is why I'd be fine with it coming back.
Basically this is the perfect example.of they did not test cards before.printing, anyone with half a mind of the game would have seen this as broken immediately
