I’ve seen the lore multiple times and this is my interpretation: he actually wants to save humans by preforming tests. The pestilence he always refers to is the meaning of pestilence in King Henry’s bible. Meaning he is actually trying to save the people from god’s wrath, Aging. Thus, he is misunderstood by many.
I agree dyfe, he wants to save them from the original sin. And that is to stop the aging process. Therefore he came up with the experiments to cure life itself. Or the end of life, by infinitely extending it.

He dissappeared at the end 3. 049 is bullet proof and essentially tazer proof. 4. The only way to contain SCP 049 is with a type of gas that calms him. Ideas 1. Turn people into zombies that follow you 2. Maybe get some SCP vehicles and uniforms or characters on the server, not only for the official SCPs, but also for the ghosts videos you make, since they would be taking care of that too! That's it, I really liked the video!!! You did a good job doing 049
Yeah I had to figure out a way to end the RP without destroying his plot armor, so disappearing was my best option lmao. And I had the lore pulled up on my other monitor trying to figure out things that were accurate, and some things I've read contradict other things- like I read his horse is alive, not much about resistance to bullets/tazers. But I'll definitely try to update this the next time I do SCP 049!

Honestly, I don’t think RP has to be so realistic or lore friendly, I like RP to be fun and creative, especially funny and goofy. Like how Jmw, ProGamerDude, Chadoy, and Ben does it. It gets boring when it’s so realistic because it feels the same, but no offense if anyone likes realistic RP, just not my favorite type of RP.

As much as we all love an absolute accurate-to-article SCP depiction, having creative freedom is important. I like this kind of SCP-049 who sounds very unsure of the world around him in an almost naïve way. He specifically tries to explain the pestilence, but no one believes it. You could say that's why he stopped explaining it (as other comments point out). It's good to get a character spot-on, but telling a compelling story is the most important part of s good RP.
I mean, 049 does lure people into a false sense of security by being very amiable. But he does seem to be more cooperative and friendly to those he sees as healthy.

#idea You should do a rp like the move “Assimilate”. The movie’s plot is that there is these alien creature that bite a person, getting their DNA. With this, they create an identical figure to their victim. The alien clone then goes and kills the person who they cloned. Once you do this, all the knowledge from that person is transferred to the alien. You can rp that you are the person you killed and go up the chain of power. Etc. start as a homeless man, and end the mayor to control everyone and make sure that the aliens are able to take over.

What you on about, 049 loves chatting with some of the resertchers at site 19. Before he offed Dr Hamm, they were like friends. Dr Hamm didn't even use any security neassures when interacting with 049, just walked into the containment room and trusted he was safe. That's why 049 could get close enough to actually attack. So yeah, he likes conversation and speak multiple languages.
The pestilence is age, if you read the lore in 049's interview with one of the doctors he says he was blind to the pestilence because he was a young doctor. When he walked in with a singular grey hair 049 began to immedately become hostile and kill said doctor. Even though it isnt offical, its really easy to tell what it is once you peace everything together. but great job!

I personally liked how you sort of made an entirely new SCP when trying to make 106. I’d be interested to see more of that sort of thing, just looking at a picture of an SCP or something and taking a guess as to what it does so that a new SCP is created.
Hey James, good RP. However, I do have some feedback. Try to use more formal wording when acting as 049. For example, I think that instead of "gonna" you should say "shall". Just my opinion but would be cool if you applied it.
As amazing as these videos are and how they show the extent that people will go to literally live a second life in a video game world, and the fact that the SCP Foundation (among others) exist in said world, all I can say is...What's the story about those two seniors at the very beginning, hanging out inside a school bus, on the outskirts of the city, in the middle of the night? Pretty sure the creator says the pestilence is human malice, its only sensed in some, more in others. Thats why he enjoys killing D class personnel which the foundation uses for test with SCPs. With everyday people he reanimates them into obedient zombies, and some he doesnt sense it in people at all
It could've used a French accent to help sell The Plague Doctor a bit more but otherwise fantastique, mon ami! Your theory that it is free will doesn't break the lore but it is not confirmed. Truthfully I don't think even the Foundation's best and brightest know but some have said Free Will others have said Humanity itself. But the real truth is nobody but SCP 049 knows for sure...Unless he's simply a madman who's extended life span has driven him to see plague everywhere and in everything and the people he spares are just his moments of sanity returning... That is the fun part about him as a story mechanic. We never know for sure.

I personally liked how you sort of made an entirely new SCP when trying to make 106. I’d be interested to see more of that sort of thing, just looking at a picture of an SCP or something and taking a guess as to what it does so that a new SCP is created.
Hey James, good RP. However, I do have some feedback. Try to use more formal wording when acting as 049. For example, I think that instead of "gonna" you should say "shall". Just my opinion but would be cool if you applied it.

Pretty sure the creator says the pestilence is human malice, its only sensed in some, more in others. Thats why he enjoys killing D class personnel which the foundation uses for test with SCPs. With everyday people he reanimates them into obedient zombies, and some he doesnt sense it in people at all

It could've used a French accent to help sell The Plague Doctor a bit more but otherwise fantastique, mon ami! Your theory that it is free will doesn't break the lore but it is not confirmed. Truthfully I don't think even the Foundation's best and brightest know but some have said Free Will others have said Humanity itself. But the real truth is nobody but SCP 049 knows for sure...Unless he's simply a madman who's extended life span has driven him to see plague everywhere and in everything and the people he spares are just his moments of sanity returning...
That is the fun part about him as a story mechanic. We never know for sure.
