Hi, Must Do Canada Channel & host couple Matt & Karla, where you have been, seeing you after a long time on RUclips. Rocketeer Mountaineer train journey is like a Fairy Tale. Yes, these Uber luxury trains costs sky!. This must be as expensive as Golden Chariot train & Palace on Wheels train in India. Ravos train in South Africa. Thanks for showing charming Canada to the world through your eyes. Great videos, as it seems shot by some professional cameraman, beautiful editing. Good Luck & Keep it Going.
Just make sure to bring a re-usable water bottles and coffee mugs, tap water in Canada is fresh and tasty and most cafe’s give a discount for waste reduction. Limit your use of bags in the National Parks and your footprint on our beautiful country. Sadly this happens less and less now, so do your part and this natural beauty will continue for generations to come. Also the up loaders of the video should of course mention this but rarely do!!!!!
@@slanjbo That's wonderful to know !! Hope they'll continue the services & discount. We have to recycle as much as we can !! Very nice comment to read ! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🚈💞
Just done the Vancouver to Jasper route, great views, good food and drink, everything ran smoothly with overnight stopover in Kamloops. Luggage picked up at your initial pick up and delivered to your hotel room in Kamloops and Jasper. Would recommend to anyone.
@@MustDoCanada Edinburgh, flew to Vancouver then after train journey spent 4 nights in Jasper then another 4 in Banff. Flew from Calgary to Quebec City then finished in Toronto. A most enjoyable holiday.
Hi Matt and Karla. The Rocky Mountaineer is on my Bucket List. The views must Great in any of the seasons. Keep on having Fun and on to the next Adventure.
Hey you Guys! I was on the Rocky Mountaineer in 2018 from Banff to Vancouver in the gold class. It was a great awesome experience for me that I never forget. For me the train is under the Top 3 in the world. Greatings from Germany👍❤️🇩🇪! Hope you had a good ride! Great Video! Thank you for sharing!
@@MustDoCanadaThere are a few beautiful Panorama trains worldwide, that I ride and that I can recommend. First of all there is „The Canadian“ from Toronto via Winnipeg to Edmonton and Jasper!. Number two there is a regional WineTrain with a restaurant in the Napa Valley/California from Napa to Helena. Number 3 is the „Glacier Express“ in Switzerland from St. Moritz to Zermatt through the Swiss Alps approx. 300 km. Number 4 is the „Pride of Africa Train“ in South Africa from Kapstadt through amazing National Parks! Number 5 is the „TransAlpine Express“ in NewZealand from Christchurch also through wonderful Nationalparks. Number 6 is the „Royal Scotsman“ in Scotland. The Train starts from Edinburgh though the Scottish Highlands. The Train stops in little colorful villages and whisky destilleries! I know all this trains very good and I can recommending all!
@@MustDoCanada i have done all the trains together with my wife! The Canadian we Took in Combination with the Rocky Montaineer in 5 days. Overall you Meet wonderful People and you can See awesome and beautiful landscapes! If you Need Information about the other Trains i can help you!
We took the Rocky Mountaineer Grand Rail Circle last September and it was spectacular. I remember that lady waving to us as well. Saw so much wildlife and the scenery was breathtaking.
Beautiful views once more 😯 the dome like windows but especially the open deck are not so common and very appreciable 👍 If you go on by train, I'm ready to follow you 😅
Sorry to hear about that. True. We're taking the train across Canada next month. The big difference with this one is it's the only train going to Banff. However, Via Rail goes to Jasper and then Edmonton and continues east

So good to have found a channel about travelling in Canada! I have been living in Canada for 20 years but I haven’t been to anywhere outside BC province besides Calgary and Rocky Mountain. Will take a good look at all your videos so I have good ideas where to travel.
Yes a great trip, but I don't need to tell you just how much you have missed being stuck on the train and it passing through sights that in a car you could have stopped at! You certainly know when you are entering Kamloops when the chimney stack up on the hillside comes into view and is belching forth. My first trip to Kamloops and B.C. was in 1982 and even back then there was talk of closing the pulp mill that generates those fumes.
Hi great video makes me want to do the Rocky Mountaineer more so than ever but I notice you said arrived in Banff, but it says in there Lake Lousie??? Can you please clarify?
It stops quickly in Lake Louise but you don't get off (Maybe you can ask to get off you stay there), but it really ends in Banff and then you can take a tour to Lake Louise if you wish
such great video!! thinking of going to Banff from Vancouver by train and was wondering if there were any pit stops like Lake Louise and Jasper where passengers can go down to enjoy the scenery etc AND do we need to book our own accommodations during the night (cause looks like yall did) before boarding the train again to other areas?
I just came across your channel and subscribed! Awesome video! You are a beautiful couple, how did you meet each? Also, what camera are you filming with. Looks really nice and clear.
Amazingly rocky Mountainer adventures, wish we could do that someday... we've been watching your Must do Canada vlog and we love everything about it, especially when you both hike the Rawson Lake all the way to Sarrill ridge Trail...and the easiest hike in Nose Hill Park... We usually watch all your vlogs in TV bigger screen , and much better viewing.. , I just use the cp for comments....Thank you and God bless you both with all your travel adventures 🙏 ❤
The scenery in your trip was beautiful. Does winter weather impact passenger trains much or does the rail line have a process in place to remove heavy snow?
It probably can impact it but I'm sure they have some sort of process for clearing tracks. Rocky Mountaineer doesn't run in the winter but VIA Rail likely does

In Australia it’s over $8000 for just one night Gold Leaf Vancouver to Banff for 2 people, wondering if it’s as expensive elsewhere??
If it's $8k for two people ($4K each) then it's probably about right.

Ranges between 1500 and 3000 depending on the trip

Me too. Lovely people and lovely views!
Nature is beautiful, but people so self-oriented, fake polite and cold.
I live in Washington and have an enhanced driver’s license to enter Canada. Do I need an actual passport for this trip?
No idea. Not sure what that is but typically, a passport is required when crossing an international border
This trip might be worth the cost.
Definitely looks great.
