As an adult I'm a gagger and I had to redo the initial impression for the top teeth since that was the hardest for me. I immediately gagged and felt like I couldn't breathe but luckily I was able to focus on my breathing, I still gagged maybe 3-4 times but I got through it. Luckily the dental assistant was friendly, empathetic and supportive. The only reason I had difficulty with it was because I had no experience doing that and it caught me mostly off guard despite the assistant's warnings. I was also congested because I was getting over a cold so I had to sit up instead of tilting my head back. Maybe next time I'll take some day quil to make me less congested before I do that 😅😂😢. That would've helped I think. Very good video. I wish I saw this before I had my first impressions done. That puddy mixture is tough, especially for gaggers 😅.
i am a DA and your video is helpful! may I ask when an impression come out, what would require a redo? I get bubbles sometimes but sometimes the doc says yes sometimes he says redo.
We have a very good learning module on this very subject Dr. and it goes step by step on final impression technique. It is a monthly fee and you can pay just $35.00 to take it. It is 3 hrs of CE
To me the Itero is the best, but there are some really great scanners on the market. You can also order Scanning Impression Material that you take and impression and can scan right off the impression. That is good as well!
The Flexitime is Purple, Correct Flow is Green. You have a full range of indications and a working time from 1 to 2.5 minutes (total set time 3.5 to 5 minutes).

Not at all!
Hi
Do you wait for the heavy body to set completely or do you remove it when partially set?
Must wait till it is totally set
For how long PVS impression stays dimensionally stable for Invisalign?
Up to 4 weeks
Its the same to take first impressions with digital device or do they have difference, which one is better

Digital is always better, easier, and accurate without any issues. It just cost more for the scanner
Hello, is is "Flexitime easy putty" and "Flexitime correct flow (green)" ? how much working time and total set time? please share, thank you very much

Why would you do this instead of using a digital scanner? Is it just upfront cost?
Only 48% of practices even today have a scanner!
To this day only 47% of offices have a scanner
Mam I ave question why we got bubbles in impression is it pouring technique fault aur impression technique fault
I am not sure I understand
This procedure made me very uncomfortable, I felt like I can't breath,😥😫🤢.
Sunshine you might want to find a dentist that uses a digital scanner instead of using this type of material.
The amount of excess material posteriorly would definitely cause gag reflex in almost 99% of the patients.
Yes but remember this is putty and a wash
😁
I had herpes after the impression but I think it's because we had many tries doing my impressions.
Yes this can happen when your mouth has been traumatized
I'm so sorry this can happen when the mouth is traumatized
