excellent video. What if i wanted to keep in the cell only where the text is equal to a certain criteria ex. CO-Test, CO-Test2, Software, Laptop. In this scenario I only want to keep the Items that have CO-. So the results would be CO-Test, CO-Test2?

Great, thank you hopefully it will help me with messy data. Having sporadic values with commas as decimal separator inside a csv using comma as delimiter drives me nuts🤯. I dont know why excel is able to open the text files individually without failure by double clicking them, but in Power query every row with those value gets his column shifted. Get them in as text is my last hope at the moment.

How do you split the "List"? I need a new row with all the values of the list in separated cells.

I have the problem where I have a column that has comma separated values in it, but the structure is not always the same for each line. meaning that sometimes the value I want is found in the comma delimiter Nr. 3 and sometimes it is in Nr. 4. The name of the delimited value however is always the same. So is there a way to first search for a particular text and then just extract the value that follows after that text ?

Hi Rick, can you shed a light for me on those sample data: each row 12345678-AH-AH-CY9 or 12345678-2-AB-AC-CY9, how can i extract 12345678 and 12345678-2 in to separate column. Thank you so much.
