People keep comparing BABYMONSTER with BLACKPINK and it is getting a little tiring. They take a small section of the song and say that it sounds like a song from BLACKPINK. I am guessing that is what is must have been like for BLACKPINK when they debuted. They sound like 2NE1.
BABYMOSNTER has proven their versatility with each song that they release. And the funny thing is that you could also say that this song sounds like other songs that were produced in the US. There isn't an infinite variation of music and things will sound the similar over a period of time. It is only because they are a part of the same agency which is the reason they keep getting compared.
They keep saying that YG is being lazy and just recycling the music. The done thing is that people don't realize how hard it is to come up with something original. If they think that they can make something original then they should be producing tracks. Just saying that it is irritating that BABYMONSTER has to keep getting compared to BLACKPINK.
So well said! 100% agree 👍. Every single thing a human observes by one of their senses is contextualized by their past experiences, everything. Humans evolved to be masters of noticing patterns, and then comparing these to their existing experiences. So of course song X sounds a bit like songs Y and Z…it has to by the very nature of being what we consider music. Now BABYMONSTER have never shied away from saying they have the “YG DNA”, so of course some parts of certain songs MAY have a BLΛƆKPIИK sound or pattern, and I for one applaud this! But BM has their own unique style and to think they are simply BLΛƆKPIИK 2.0 is frankly just being obtuse & myopic. Let’s go BABYMONSTER!!

Great Reaction! The ending is a loop. Meaning the dream is a dream within a dream. You can literally put it on Spotify loop and this song will last Forever.
But yes, this is a different side from Babymonster. I am excited to see their next song, because at this point..... All Bets are Off!!!! Babymonster just expanded their repertoire, they can take on any music concept and genre and make it their own.

Pharita in real life was a child catwalk model. She dreamed of growing up to become a supermodel. Fastforward, Adidas rang the doorbell for Batter Up product sampling. Christian Dior rings the doorbell for Like that exclusive. Gucci rang the doorbell for Vogue Korea May edition. Pepsi rang the doorbell for a full photoshoot advertising campaign in Thailand and Vietnam, billboards, TV, radio, buses, trains, RUclips

In absolutely NO UNIVERSE EVER is sounding like Blackpinink and insult. That is the equivalent of trying to slam a new NFL quarterback by saying he plays like Tom Brady.... Not an insult. People are just mad at BabyMonster owning the entire world in 2024 (and the end of 2023). Over 1 Billion views since Batter Up on major releases: Batter Up = 280 million views, Batter Up dance video = 50 million, Christmas Without You = 20 million views, Stuck in the Middle = 122 million views, Sheesh MV = 296 million views, Sheesh dance video = 151 million views, Like That = 134 million views, Forever = 132 million views. = total 1.185 billion views. Next best group over same period of time is around 200 million views total. fans of those groups are jealous. BabyMonster does not have competition, only victims. Even Taylor Swift best 2024 MV is at only around 130 million views and no other recent ones over 30 million views.
Video was about Pharita being caught in a dream loop. Pharita is the only one who had supernatural stuff happen to her the entire video and also based on Disney movies. Pharita's reflection does not follow physics, Pharita flying upside down in the clouds and even her hair does not follow physics, Pharita shrunk and is stuck in the claw machine, Pharita falling and wakes up from the Forever Sleep in bed surrounded by the dwarfs (Snow White). Flying among the clouds while fireworks go off flying past Big Ben (Peter Pan). Lost shoe and focus on clock hitting midnight (Cinderella). The ending proves she is actually still sleeping as the music that starts the MV begins to play again and both shoes are still in the box with the unopened invitation. They should have ended with Pharita looking through the peep hole seeing Ruka whisper "BabyMonster".
