I went straight to the comments to find this question and answer. Thank you! I have done glue to scalp weaves for years and no shedding but started doing quick weaves on my hair and now shedding. I would not have thought it was the protectant that was causing the shedding. I am washing it out right now and starting over. Can't wait to see the results once its time to take it out.
The majority of the hair loss is done based on the removal of the style, hair glue alone will not damage your hair. However, if you don’t remove it correctly you will experience a lot of damage. Just like the comments above oil and conditioner will do the job, allow it to sit on the Hair for a few minutes and gently currently out. Sometimes it will even comb it it
So many red flags!!! Idc how good the finished styling look the foundation is crazy. It’s 2023 protective styles is key! Slapping glue on top of your hair yet alone corn rows is crazy ladies at least use two caps if your going to do it. Sincerely a concerned licensed cosmetologist.

How do you take it off? The glue doesn't get all over your hair
Just use an oil or conditioner. You can even wash the tracks out and comb off the glue and it won't pull your hair out if you are gentle.

No conditioner or oil will allow it to lift right up
I hardly use protective shield... if any glue manage to get on my hair i jst comb thru with conditioner or oil...then wash my hair as normal

A little hack I use to tuck the ends of my braids in is using a crochet hook 🪝 tool. Literally has been the best to get everything flat and secure
