Great fun watching you enjoying yourselves and a great spot - my best bass of the summer was there and from the first cast as well; interestingly catching from a first cast happens more than I would have expected. I'd be interested to know if this is something others have experienced?
Hi Tom haven’t fished here before just wondering if there’s plenty of water here at low tide, was going to do southbourne on Saturday but the wind looks like a strong easterly, any suggestions?
Saturday at the moment is showing a WNW, which is perfect for Southbourne. It is always changing though, so worth keeping an eye on. If wait for the smaller tides next week before trying here.

Bacon is good for catching bass there. Just cheapo peasant bacon from the likes of Lidl or Aldi will do. The bass don’t care if it’s the pricey free range bacon or not 😂

It does seem to be a thing! I always dread the first cast capture, it's usually my last fish too 🤣
