That's a different truck and dog system we don't have anything like it over here i can see it would be very effective in places were it's hard to access with the dog trailer very cool i have a love for the American dump trucks or tippers as we call them we have a Marmon cab and bonnet/hood i will drop on some modern American chassis and running gear drop a tipper on a bang around with the excavator in the back
1999 I won 2and place at the Michigan semi truck rodeo are trucks are different than these same concept though great times I wish they would bring back to Michigan..
I see in another comment the uploader mentions, there was a DJ on site, playing copyrighted music. So you wouldn't have been able to hear the trucks anyway
In Canada here, we don't have to unhook and slide the box into the other and all that lol.. just gotta back up dump the pup/trailer then to dump the truck we just jacknife the trailer till the tongue of trailer pretty much touches the rear drives and the dump the truck and pull head that's it. And all done without getting out of the truck.
@Ryan-vo3rm why are you afraid to get out. I'm Canadian also. We aren't all this lazy. I'm guessing you've never seen what a rock can do when fired out of a set of duals. Remember your not the only person on the road. If I remember correctly. It happened in BC not that long ago. Blew through the windshield and took someone's loved one away. And then... did you clean your reach.
@DemonWater .. what in the world are going on about?? That has nothing to do with me or what I said lol. First 90% of the stuff I haul is mostly sand or nothing greater than 3/8, and if for some reason I do haul a different product that happens to be larger I also get out to check and depending on what it is.. I will unhook. And like I said that has nothing to do with what I said because every time I dump I need to get out to clean off the tongue of the pup, I was talking about all the back and forth with the dump boxes that isn't necessary with our equipment and I can do the exact same thing without all that. Man you need to take a chill pill or something lol.
This is a backwards way of doing shit. In Australia we run 4,5 and six axel dog trailers and don’t even get out of the air conditioned cab to unload. Reverse and jackknife the trailer to tip the truck and then just tip the trailer. No unhooking, no fcking around rolling tipping bodies and then having to go and reverse the procedure and recouple. Mercian’s sure have a lot of backwards ideas when it comes to different sorts of trailers.
Im here in the east coast states and we don't have them over here, I'm assuming it's a West coast deal. Must be a long trip from the quarry to a residential area/city area and have to drop the pup a ways away. I don't think they're doing this onsite, I'm assuming they drop the pup at a place with room, down the block/out on the street, go dump in the tight area and come back for the pup. Only thing I can figure out, maybe someone from the west coast states can confirm
Ya but for jobs like paving or building tight roads. How else do you get a quad load to fit on a tandem and dump like a tandem. And some how your not over weight. And yes there are quad transfers. This is where you separate the wheat from the chaff. These guys are good. But I seen some old timers could could embarrass those guys. Trucking is a dying art
@ I dunno. We just must be Duper Truckers here in Australia. Somehow we manage without transfer trucks. In some places they do it towing 2,3 and 4 full size trailers.
Transfers are the stupidest most dangerous thing ever put on the highway , especially the Super transfers used in British Columbia, the quicker turnaround time with a truck and pony more than makes up for the marginally smaller payloads
@timregan1005 they are still in use yes. British Columbia is riddled with them. We still have 2. And 2 79 Pete's to pull them. That will give you an idea of their hay day. They had their day. But With aluminum boxes they could get a good load on.
green truck driver is very professional that knows his truck. awesome job.
Wow 😮 Nothing like good looking dump transfer trucks!!! And watching them work their equipment. A++ ❤video!!! 😊

Not as easy as these guys make it look.
Need a keen eye to get it right.
Great stuff.
Wish we had these type of truck events in Australia.
Super awesome video
Nice work
This is awesome they definitely need lowbed class breaking down or loading equipment something like that.
I trucked in Arizona years ago and Transfer Dumps were very popular those guys that ran them were really good at it and fast.
Thank you!
you learn to get back in the ac cap in quick in 110 +degrees 😃😃👍👍

There's a starter button on back of truck ,you leave truck in reverse.

@ I get what you mean, but I have seen other applications use a similar thing in the US. Waste bins is another example.
@@shantyshaker You are correct they work very well in tight spaces and they can haul maximum legal gross weight more payload.

Why don't you buy a five axel tipper in the Netherlands.
So you don't have to leave you seat no more.
The green truck is faster than the brown truck
These trucks must be mostly for show use and retro events, no way someone can work with this medieval equipment for a living in 2024.
