Hi, everyone! My husband and I recently purchased the Sleep Number Dual Temp heating and cooling pad, so today we will be sharing all about it here in this video! Thank you SOOOO much for this video review!!! 😍 We actually bought a Sleep Number SE bed for Christmas - it's a split King. That was all we got initially due to cost (and it was 40% off)! We knew before we even got it that we wanted an adjustable frame - but Sleep Number's was SO expensive! 🤑 We got ours on Amazon for $995 and it is perfect! So now we wanted to tackle the hot sleeping issue. I have looked at ALLLL the possibilities, and tried more than a few in the past... Finally, we came back to Sleep Number and wanted an honest review. And here I am!!! And now we're looking for the next good sale!! Maybe Memorial Day lol. I'm the hot sleeper here and cannot wait!

Just found this review, we are now considering this when we upgrade from a queen to a spit king. I was hoping your review would show how the fitted sheet goes over the air hose, please let me know what you think about that. Thanks.
Hi! Somehow I am only just now seeing your question, sorry about that! The fitted sheet fits just fine over the hose. It just lays over/across that area instead of being tucked in. Hope that helps!
I mainly considered the Eight Sleep (Pod Pro) - I feel like Sleep Number manufacturer’s a superior product. Eight Sleeps main selling point is the bells and whistles which will fail. The cooling function is all I really care about. In addition to the half mattress option and cost savings.

Thanks for posting. I am having the same experience with all the same pros and cons. The controls has frozen twice in 3 weeks, popping the batteries out and in fixed it both times. The battey remote lock up is annoying but I'm still glad I bought the DualTemp despite the unpleasantly high price. I too sleep better virtually every night that to it providing the low heat I wanted. Appreciate your validation of my experience.
That still happens to us, even after all this time! But overall the pad still works great 😊
The fan motor is not strong enough to distribute the air uniformly. It needs a stronger fan / motor. The air is also somewhat blocked too on the areas your body contacts it. There is a high markup on these so one would think it would be made better to work the entire surface areas of the top.
Chilli Pad is 100X better than this

It’s been great! My hubby and I actually trade off on using it. He uses it during the hotter months to keep cool, and I use it during the cooler months to keep warm!
Thank you for posting. I like my ChiliPads layout better. It has the hose and unit at the top (or bottom, whichever way you place the pad on your mattress). I can't fit a unit under my bed frame so I'm sure I would trip over this unit every time I got in or out of my bed since it has to be on the side. Also, my Chilipad unit is nicely hidden under a bench at the foot of my bed (not that I care if anyone sees it, but less tripping/swearing risk). It looks like all of these types of devices have their pro's and con's. I've had my Chilipad for a little over a year and I've returned the base unit twice because it sounded like a jet taking off. Recently, the pump died. It's no wonder they don't build these technologies into mattresses. 😉
My wife made the mistake of saying she didn't need one... So we bought another one. We have a split top king, but it does look weird with just one.

Thank you for posting this. This isn't very popular in the review would like BedJet, Chilli Pad, Cooler, Pod 8, etc. I just ordered this. I'm excited! I wasn't keen on the systems that use water. And I like the idea of it being a layer between the mattress and my body. I feel the memory or even latex foam in mattress absorb a lot of heat, so I wasn't sure a fan on top of me would make that much of a difference.

How do you get the fitted sheet on the mattress.. particularly the hose part?
1 year warranty. Ours quit cooling and heating like it should. They don’t sell just the fan unit. They want you to buy a whole unit instead. Screw that. Sleep number that sucks!
Aw that’s a bummer, I’m sorry to hear that! Ours is still running great, even after 3 years, so yours may be faulty 😞
We had issues with two units not heating or cooling. Should offer a longer warranty or extended protection plan option. They offer no repair service and at this price they expect you to add it to the landfill.

I know this is late but youtube algorithm ya know. I noticed you have the tempurpedic. I am going the whole 9 soon, was thinking about getting the cool breeze mattress with the ego base from tempurpedic. How do you guys like the mattress you have now. I eventually want to pair my setup with this cooling pad as well.
btw: for the husband, if you were going to do a lot more of these, mic him up with a shirt mic. He's a quite guy so the mic needs to be near him when he talks.

Just curious are you still using this item. I have been 7 months and its not working as well, I am looking for something else, I do use the Sleep Number i10 Split top king with adjustable base and its hard to find something else that works with it. Pod 8 says do not use with adjustable bases, chili pad doesn't have the twin xl so if you have help let me know please. Your videos is well done and nice quality!

Thank you! Not that I know of, but it does come with a remote.
That's the one thing I didn't like. Also a lot of the ones with apps like BedJet, Ooler, 8 Pod allow you to program temperature changes throughout the night based on your sleep cycle. I do hope they come out with a wi-fi or Bluetooth upgrade + app for this functionality.
That would be a nice addition!
@@nopenottoday6179 but the thing is that the dual temp won't freaking leak all over you, the floor, and your expensive mattress
The dual temp does not live up to “my standards.” I feel it completely takes away the benefit of the sleep number mattress. I keep my bed set at 35, while sleeping on the dual temp I couldn’t feel the benefits of my actual mattress.
Ahh I guess it depends on the mattress then! We use the Tempurpedic Cloud and it works great on there!

We still love it! My husband gave it to me for the Winter so I can use the heated setting. It’s been amazing! I’ll be giving it back to him when it warms back up so he can use the cool setting again
