yeah this was one of their last mind blowingly good albums... i feel teppei steered their whole vibe the wrong direction slowly and steadily after... and you can tell by dustins voice going out that hes not used to sounding badass anymore...
there was some seriously heavy music coming out in 03. Thrice may have changed throughout the years but they are still great. I really love the beggars album.
Amazing. Chills. Nostalgia. Also: Anyone else notice right after the breakdown, the pronunciation of "the" from "thee" (2003) to "tha" (2023) ("THE abolition of man is within the reach of science, but are we so far gone that we'll try it")? I suppose Mike is the one I hear pronouncing it differently, so it is altogether a different person.
I still love the album but I don’t like the retcon version. I am still a purist at heart that bought this album at a show my friend and I were able to talk his Mormon mom into taking us to. I get the who owns rights to the music and you kinda have to release b-sides but I wish you would have left it alone. I went to live shows to hear it differently than the album not for it all to just be changed as if it was always the way it was
these dudes age like wine, omg
The outro of this song is the most epic of all time. Period.
this is so good but you must hear “Seen/Unseen” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🎧🎸🎶🤘
heaviest core song ever. imagine writing such heavy song in 2003.
what a band

@@zer0divid3@zer0divid3 while I agree about music direction, but you must be joking about vocals, Dustin sounds so powerful here

This is probably my favorite of the re-recorded songs. Well done
The heavier songs really benefit I think - the softer ones, not so much
Ahhhh good ol Mikey boy! C.U.A.D. is part of 702 history.
Love the slowed down ending, so epic
this is so good but you must hear “Seen/Unseen” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🎧🎸🎶🤘
This song goes waaaay harder with Dustin's modern vocals.
I like his younger voice for the regular vocals because I think it sounds more punk, but his older, more gruff voice makes for better screaming

Anyone knows what effect (modulation) is used on the lead riff? Sounds like a pitch shifter or a detune.
omg
