In PLL, many hated Paige (played by Lindsay), but I don't know if many realized that at the end of the show, Paige was THE ONLY ONE WHO GROWN UP? All the others remained the same as at the beginning. The same nonsense, lies, immaturity. Paige was the only one who changed over the years and ended up being a more adult and focused person. That's why for me she was the best character in the series.
Lindsay is a very good actress (and very funny too). We should be able to see her more often and in bigger series/movies.
I always liked Paige or at least I didn't hate her with a passion like others

@@Yana-qq7yc She wasn't very likable at the beginning, but she evolved and, for me, ended up being the best character. The only one that showed growth and maturity.

We also need to mention that while the show was on air, a lot of fans of other ships attacked her in social media, people who doesn't difference between the character and actress. People who hated Paige make fell bad Lindsay but she was only making her work and was really hard for her and she didn't had the fault.

So glad to see this podcast! I am old enough to be these guys pmom but I used to watch this show BY MYSELF! Ned De classified is still one of my fav kid shows.
Wow I can imagine that would be heavy for Lindsey to carry around. I hope she continues to heal from those experiences (+ ones not mentioned). I love that they validate and support her like true friends do. Because she is a valid and worthy person despite those repeated intolerant messages (which tells me more about the people who perpetuated them, not her) love you guys and these stories that help others feel less alone ♥️♥️♥️
Family not wanting to support my character’s sexuality + a costar’s uncomfortable comments (especially the person IN the relationship + who is idolized by many) alone would definitely affect my psyche/identity as an adolescent. I appreciate Lindsey being brave to share these experiences that are unfortunately relatable to many. Devon and Daniel remind us that there are people out there who get it and to keep searching for friends/family like them bc they are out there! You are never stuck and there are always good moments waiting for you and worth sticking around for.
I LOVE Lindsey sooooo much. She’s just a gem. The voice, the face, the talent. So beautiful love her DOWN! ❤❤❤

Yes as an adult it seems clearer to me that that comment solely has to do with Shay’s thoughts about herself/her identity. As an adolescent though I would have had a harder time not internalizing that message if I were questioning my own identity. Especially if I looked up to/ was a fan of Shay. And to be clear, this may explain shay’s behavior but it does not excuse the effect it had on Lindsey/possibly others on set.

I could not stand Paige! She wouldn't Go Away lol, but I never had any bad feelings towards the actress. I've seen her in other things and liked her, so I'm pretty sure it had everything to do with the way her character was written.
Dang! Never knew Lindsey felt that way and the fans giving her crap for being Paige must of been hard.

I never make comments in videos, but like the bidet is a consistent theme, i have to say that i'm from Argentina and in general, in every house we have bidet. Is not an accesory of the toilet, is an actually other toilet next to the wc. Look it up! I dont know how you live without one!

Lindsey went through so much while working on PLL but I'd have never guessed she was struggling with playing a lesbian and that's a testament to how kind and compassionate she was to gay fans, I feel so bad for everything she had to deal with, her homophobic family, those remarks by Shay, the toxic fans. I know she's aware but I have to say it, she changed and saved lives, her portrayal of Paige meant the world to a lot of us and I will always be grateful for her ❤️

I remember hating Paige because it was a bad written character, I'm sorry that Lindsey had to go through that bad time with PLL fans. I also remember going on twitter and seeing hate coments on Paige not Lindsey. We all do mistakes and we all grow up from it. I'm not justifying it but we all do mistakes in a way or another. PS Lindsey you are so sweet
Let’s be real, PLL fans were toxic AF and always shipped the most toxic characters. It made it impossible for any real character development to happen across the board. The fans had way too much control of the show and the writing suffered.
@@mirandataylor6385 It has nothing to do with the fans, the head writer is well known for writing really bad stuff. Most of their shows haven't lasted more than a season. They also wrote Just my Luck, which is the movie about how spoiled Lindsey Lohan trades luck with Chris Pine, and is ultimately about a nepotism baby giving her privilege to a normal guy against her will, then having her change her mind because Chris Pine is hot and she wouldn't be able to get with him if she didn't give him her "luck".. which ends up being a rather obvious rich white girl using her privilege to rescue the poor love interest. 🤮

@INFINITE SADNESS honestly I'm pretty sure these singular bigoted issues are being heavily influenced by domestic and international shills. Chinese government has already shown they use tactics like this to influence elections and destabilize the west but everyone thinks it's just normal that social media had so many accounts dedicated to one small issue that impacts almost no one. Don't remember the name but Tyler Blackburn had the male lead in it if it helps to look.
I mean every single couple on PLL’s was trash on the show. The hilarious thing is that the couples at the end of the book series (not the ones from the audio only sequel) were great. Ezria was trash and creepy. Aly and Emily were horrible for each other (and book Emily is so much worse for her love of Aly even though she really loved Courtney but could never grasp that it was Courtney she loved). Hannah and Caleb were too different. People might dislike Paige for being mean to Emily at first but you’d be shocked at how many closeted people are mean to their crushes at first.

I remember watching pretty Little Liars with my mom and her commenting that this pretty girl of nickelodeon end up in that roll (she said that in a judgmental way) and I was there thinking guess who's bisexual 😅

I was a huge fan of the show and your character and I thought it was awful the way that so many fans kept complaining online over your character. It always came from the more over the top fans of Emily and Alison. I’m so sorry you had to go through that.
