Drew Tabke should have won this event. I see a fall on the cat track no different than if someone falls on the top traverse before they actually drop into the chute, yet they mention that they don't start scoring until they drop into the chute. The judging during this event seemed inconsistent.
The start gate backside is a vertical drop, the front is a gnarly slope with sharks hiding beneath the snow, waiting for you. 'Ski it casual, make like your having an easy good time', the judges say. Makes me think of that scene where the Fonz jumps his motorcycle over the shark infested waters. Only in Freeride. lol
