- The fastest i ever been?
That was my day, I was a couple tenths faster than anyone else at the track. The day after, it was my first time as a pole-man!
Maybe the best feeling ever.
I hope you enjoy this raw sound (music) lap on my 125cc 2 stroke shifter kart tho:
-Chassis: Birel ART CRY-30 S12
-Engine: TM KZ-R1
-Tires: Vega SL4 (Red France Label)

New tyres have an impressive performance peak during the first 3-4 laps!
@@DavideCugini53 from old practice tires to new race tires I shaved around 0.9s on a lap around 1 min

Ho notato che spesso ti partiva un po' il posteriore e l'anteriore punta molto, se posso, ti consiglio di allargare dietro di 4 mm i due mozzi, l'equivalente dei dischi distanziali.

I think still you lost your window of opportunity on new tires.
So you have more time in you if you can nail your first or second lap, depending on how the tire temps are set up.
I remember in quali my first two laps were usually almost exactly the same time, the first lap the tires were a little quicker, the second lap I was a little warmer myself

This is a lap from last year, the conditions of the track were pretty different so I can’t tell you for sure how the times are now! Anyways it’s a KZ-R1💪
Hey Kian, KZ10 is an engine model made by tm racing in 2010s, the predecessor or the latest one: KZ-R1. And yeah, I usually race in KZ2 and ROK Shifter

I was just wondering: why lift throttle when upshifting? Is the gear meshing easier this way?
You need to lift in order to upshift, otherwise it isn't possible

Hi guys! I have a question: Do you notice that in the first push lap minute 0:49, he holds the hand over what seems to be the engine's air intake (correct me if I am wrong please). Does this have any benefit in reducing lap time?

Not really, since it is a qualy session he probably got a leaner mixture of fuel. Putting your hand on the intake makes the mixture richer thereby lubricating the engine and refrigerating the head of the piston. If you listen carefully you can hear the engine change the tone of the sound when doing this.
1:37 is there a reason you are covering the air intake? I'm curious
why do you cover one hole on the airbox down the straight?

Dipende dalla mescola! Queste sono vega rosse (mescola dura) e durano anche 3 giornate di test se trattate bene (dipende anche dal tipo di asfalto, faccio fatica a quantificarlo in giri😅)
Spesso, se l'asfalto è particolarmente abrasivo durano una sessione
What's up with covering choking the airbox at the end of the start/finish straight?
It helps to lubricate the engine and also rich the mix

Which is more physically demanding. A shifter or a X30?
I don’t drive shifters, but probably shifters are more physically demanding. They go at much faster speeds and the drivers go through higher G Force, as well as the fact that you have to steer with one hand for most of the time

a manual kart? thats the most stupid thing ive seen. you need 2 hands to drive that thing and the turns follow each other quickly
