The rain seemed rather heavy. Does Sapa sometimes flood?

Short bouts of heavy rain might cause some localised pooling of water on roads but rarely any substantial flooding. The steep slopes and fast runoff means most water makes its way into rivers and streams very quickly. Sometimes the waterways can be flashy.
