I recently went through my makeup, went through the drawers and filled a large makeup bag, and it's amazing how I've survived months just using what's in the bag, it's made me rethink the drawers full that I thought I needed to keep
My worst decluttering item is papers. Always has been and probably will always be. You were brave to dump your makeup on your bed! I would never do that as brushes are dirty, something may open up, etc. I almost always keep up with my frig. I just hate washing the inside. Good job on decluttering.
I find it helpful to go through my fridge on trash days, you see what’s in there or that needs restocking and it’s picked up that day so it’s not making the trash can smelly. As for the rest of the house… 😐
One thing that has helped a lot with refrigerator maintenance is I write on the jar or bottle what date I opened it, this way I know what needs to be used up first. I also do with jars & bottles just purchased and put the older ones in the front to be used first. It only takes a minute or two this way I'm not searching for an expiration date because some can be hard to find.
Your complexion is beautiful! So true that 10 minutes can make a big difference. I like your tip to set a playlist that long bc music really motivates me. I’d rather have a nosebleed than deal with paper! Maybe that comes from having taught English for a million years & having papers rule my life, but I still have an aversion to doing that task even now that I’m retired. Tip: store your tomatoes at room temperature bc they’ll be more flavorful.
Love your videos, Candace! Would love to see a "Here's why your house still looks cluttered" video! Even after decluttering, there are still things I don't notice that are making my house look more cluttered than it is. Would love to hear your ideas! :)
Group things together on a tray or lazy susan you will be amazed how it make things that are still out in view, look less cluttered. Also put things in a cupboard or drawer even if you use then daily, like a toaster, coffee maker.
For my refrigerator, I have purchased clear 14 x 4" organizer trays for all of my condiments, sauces, salad dressings, jelly/preserves, yogurts.... And those items can now be easily pulled forward (my glass trays also slide out) so everything can be seen (labels facing forward, nothing "hiding" behind a door space filled with items), and I keep my larger items, like milk and juices, in the door. This has been a game changer for our family - everyone can find things easily and it's no longer a source of Visual Clutter for me every time I open the fridge.
Great job, I love this! I am currently going back through some of my spaces and can't believe how much stuff has piled up! Such a good idea to go back through areas on a regular basis.
I have a jewellery organiser that’s screwed into my bedroom wall. It’s white and beautiful and I get to see my jewellery very easily. Easy to choose and easy to put away. And it looks like a piece of art on my wall!

Try to use lazy suzan in your refrigerator. It may help to reduce wasting food.
