- This video includes my personal predictions for Formula 1 2026 Grid, future of F1. What are your thoughts? Please comment below.
Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have retired and you can see their replacements in this video.
This video is the updated version of my Formula 1 2026 Grid Prediction. Grid has expanded to 24 drivers, some selections have been changed.
This does not mean I completely deny my first video. These two videos includes combinations of my predictions.

I am receiving lots of Pierre Gasly questions. First of all I answered it in lots of these questions; Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly are interchangable for me. Winner of H2H of these two would stay in Alpine. I think they will have a teammate war and as long as the team would not fight for 3rd-4th place they would prefer a younger talented driver instead of these two. So Victor Martins, Theo Pourchaire... these French drivers have lots of chance for that seat. Or Jack Doohan.
And Pierre Gasly is not a top-tier level. Who would predict in 2019-2020 that Daniel Ricciardo would be out of grid in 3 years? Prime Ric was much more better Gasly...

Disagree. How can you say he is not top tier when we have not seen Gasly recently in a top team - his 6 months at RB were awful but I think he is a new driver now
Don't worry, Alonso retired in 2025 but he's gonna get back in F1 once again in 2027
after seeing this years Aston Martin and his performance, i would include him to F1 grid :) he has a great chance to win a race once again this year.

Kimi beating sargeant in its first year looks pretty realistic in my opinion
anything can happen in F1. Antonelli is labelled as a generational talent. he may have a Mercedes seat in 2027-2028 or he can disappoint as well.
I saw him race at formula regional even got hos signature all i xan say is wow. What a driver and hes biding his time to get into f1. Tuuka tapponen is another potentoal option

Lance will be in that seat until he is physically incapable of drive the car. He’ll be in F1 for the next 15-20+ years.
It would be nice to see Herta and O'ward in F1 but I afraid that the chances are slim.
as long as this FIA Super License points system continues, unfortunately yes
there are far too many changes, i don't think anyone other than Alonso, Hamilton, Ocon, Hulkenberg, Magnussen will retire
i have added two new teams thats the reason of so many new drivers. other than the names you mentioned i only removed Gasly and Albon. and Ocon-Gasly are interchangeable for me. i put Ocon to the grid but imo they will not get along well and the winner of them will stay at Alpine and the 2nd seat will be filled by a current youngster. and Albon can stay as well yes. it is even hard to predict Hamilton's situation. if Mercedes will be as strong as pre-2021 era, he would def stay.
Ocon is 26, he is still young, I don't see him retiring.

Magnussen will only be 33 and Ocon even younger. But can definitely still be on the grid.

I think if there's a spot at Alpine it'll go to Victor Martins, an Alpine Jr and F3 champ last year. Also if there's a RB Jr to promote, hard to not include Hauger in the mix. He won both F4 and F3, will see whether he can deliver this year in F2

What about Pierre Gasly? Why do you think that he will be outside of F1 by 2026? I think that he is a very good driver for the mid zone.
with James Alisson back at Mercedes i can see Russel getting a WDC sometime in the future, hes already performing pretty good with a bad car, with some years experience i could see him going toe to toe with max in the new era in 2026.
agree with that, but as you see Russell is on pole. James will "make Mercedes great again" i %100 agree with that. and i regard Russell as a championship calibre driver too.

you can perceive Ocon's existence as "winner of Ocon vs Gasly in h2h" . its hard to predict which one will win but the winner would stay at Alpine. i dont see both of them staying at Alpine at 2026.

thank you so much 🫶 doing all with Canva at pc and PicsArt from my phone. mixing heads of drivers with different team suits via PicsArt. tried to do something similar to current grid look via Canva and did all motions at Canva. i know Adobe programs a bit but they are really soo difficult to use and makes me exhausted. Red Bull - Max Verstappen (certianly) AND Daniel Ricciardo (highly likely)
Mercedes - Andrea Kimi Antonelli (likely) or Lewis Hamilton (likely) AND Lando Norris (outside shot) or George Russell (highly likely)
Ferrari - Charles Leclerc (certainly) AND Carlos Sainz (highly likely) OR Oliver Bearman (outside shot)
McLaren - Oscar Piastri (certainly) AND George Russell (outside shot) or Lando Norris (highly likely)
Aston Martin - Lewis Hamilton (likely) or Felipe Drugovich (outside shot) or Andrea Kimi Antonelli (very highly unlikely, but I feel it's worth mentioning) AND Lance Stroll (certainly) with Ayumu Iwasa deputising at the Japanese grand prix (highly likely)

They key seat for 2025 and 2026 is the Aston Martin seat which will become the Honda Works team. Lance Stroll will almost certainly be there. I'm almost certain, when Alonso looks like retiring, that Lawrence Stroll will go after Lewis Hamilton. He WILL make a nice offer. He can't have Lewis before 2026. The question is if Alonso doesn't stay after 2024, will either Drugovich or Iwasa do a stop gap year? Or will Fernando be convinced to stay on for 2025?
Then the other piece of the puzzle is Kimi Antonelli, how will he fare in his rookie F2 campaign? If he does well, Toto Wolff might be very keen to see him come into the Mercedes team. He won't want to miss out on the 'next Max' - not this time, if indeed Kimi can live up to those expectations. He might have a stop-gap year at Williams in 2025, while they wait for their academy driver Zak O'Sullivan to be ready. Or maybe not... The only thing is, if Toto Wolff is very keen to put Antonelli in the car, will Lawrence Stroll turn around say 'Well, if he's that good, I'm putting him in MY Car" - highly unlikely! But if he can't get Lewis Hamilton, Stroll won't have a former world champion to put next to his son. The rest will fall into place around that. The only other very interesting thought is if Lando Norris and George Russell switch places. I think it shouldn't be discounted. Oh, and if team Andretti reach the grid. Both Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas will be highly-sought-after drivers for 2025-26, by lower-midfield teams. Andretti will probably snap up Perez, and will run Logan Sargeant alongside him, while running Colton Herta OR Jak Crawford in FP1 sessions to try and get the requird super license points.
thank you so much for your excellent prediction and comment. i %100 agree that Kimi Antonelli's level at F2 will determine most of the grid. even there is an incredible hype on him, no one can guarantee that he will be a new Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen. i think Jake Dennis also has an outside shot for Andretti. he has tested Red Bull car in Abu Dhabi and is the reigning Formula E World Champion.
Alex Palou would normally have a chance for a seat but his McLaren contract dispute might hurt him. if Norris or Piastri leaves for Mercedes, RB.. etc Pato O'Ward may have a chance with McLaren.
Williams youngsters (as you mentioned) may have a chance if they perform well in F2. like Antonelli, it is hard to predict what would they do.
my favorites for 2024 F2 title are Victor Martins and Olie Bearmann. Their performance in following F2 season will be key as well imo. Martins has an excellent pace and promise; but was very incosistent this year.
Pourchaire and Drugovich still have chance imo. Pourchaire may grab Sauber seat from Zhou or Bottos in 2025. but for Drugo; i see his name in every Formula E test. he is a strong name for Formula E teams.
btw i made this video 9 months ago; i have to renew it :) i am waiting for Alpha Tauri's new official name, color... branding.
Really hope to see Bearman in F1
Not even in a parallel universe will you find Herta in F1.

But to use a mirror and play with the opposite on what you wrote, look at Ericsson. He never competed in Indy Lights or anything else stateside and was not a top driver in F1. And yet he thrives in Indycar.
Same thing could be true for Herta or anyone else. Until they actually make the switch we'll never know.
Herta could thrive in F1, and then again he might not. Who knows.
he is not a top driver i agree but top drivers are 100 years old. Dixon, Power.. these guys wont make F1. Newgarden will be 36 as well in 2026. McLaughlin will be 33. Even Palou will be 29... and Herta is an Andretti driver and he is still young. he is not top, but he is a very good IndyCar driver. if he wins an IndyCar championship, it is very possible (tbh chances of Herta's winning an IndyCar championship within 3 years is lower than %15-20 for me). maybe it is not very possible, but as a huge IndyCar fan i would love to see 1-2 IndyCar drivers in F1.
O Ward? No way. I think he's got to prove more in Indycar.

very good picks. Norris might be Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari. i dont expect him to stay at McLaren. Colapinto is a good option as well. Lawson, Hauger these guys have chance as well. i put Sargeant to Andretti as well in my first 2026 grid video (this one is updated version). most surprising one for me is Chadwick tbh. so you made Honda join as a factory team by themselves? if so; it is a good possibility as well.
@@drhulkf1 I think AlphaTauri will become Honda only because Red Bull won't need a second team to promote a fashion brand. Also I forgot about Hauger, he would be possible as well
Verstappen and De Vries in one team would be awesome! Before Mas Jos was the only Dutch person to make it to the podium. Would be amazing to see a fully Dutch team and especially in a top tier car.
Something that crosses my mind a lot is that whenever Max gives a birthday party, every Dutch person who ever made it to a F1 podium will be present

De Vries at RB is just the most random thing ever
he is Dutch and its Max' team. if i am not wrong they have a good relationship as well. but he started his AT career so slow and Tsunoda looks much more close to RB seat than NDV right now.

why?? Zhou is performing super well as a rookie. If it continues, he would definitely have great chances in the big teams, not even mentioned the large sum of funds behind him.
@@rhinsl5740 Seriously you ask why?? Because he only finished with 6 points!! That’s why. Bottas in the same car finished with 49. The gap was huge even for a rookie. Hamilton as a rookie almost became world champion. No excuse for a driver to get 6 points on a mid pack car. I was surprised they gave him the seat again for 2023, but now you explained it, it’s because of his financial backing. $$$$ cash is king
@@gamesmit2683 I mean he is a ROOKIE as u said and Bottas has 10 years of experience in F1, direct comparison is very unfair, not to mention the poor reliabilityof the car costs him many points. Even when Max Verstappen first joined RedBull, he got destroyed by Daniel Ricardo in 2017, but that proves nothing. The reason Zhou continues to get a seat is because of his great performance last year, for instance he only had one crash which is never his fault, and able to score points in a few occasions. I am not saying he's world championship winning material, but he'll definitely be a strong mid level drivers like KMag NicoHul Perez Carlos etc
@@rhinsl5740 I disagree, great drivers show their quality quickly, Hamilton is a perfect example in 07 and 08. Max in his first race with RB he won in Barcelona, he got “destroyed” by Ricciardo cause he joined the team during mid-season so he could never catch up, he spent half the season with a toro rosso. Leclerc, Russell and Norris faired extremely well in their first campaigns as well, that’s why leclerc got promoted quickly to Ferrari. Personally I don’t see it for Zhou, let’s see how he does this season, but so far in Bahrain Bottas who is a B tier driver beat him again 🤷🏻♂️. I think Zhou is C tear.
@@gamesmit2683 I am talking about his first full season in Red Bull 2017, he is nearly 40 points behind Danny and it was already his 3rd season. But now he is arguably one of the best driver on the grid.

I don't think Bottas will be still at Audi 2026. They might have some other young driver then, maybe Norris, maybe Piastri, maybe someone else
i think Audi would love to have an experienced driver. and Bottas is very good driver for mid, low-mid teams since he overachieves in Quali's with these cars.

@@Daresco i dont think because he has been a good driver for low-mid high-mid tier teams. in his 1st years Lewis wasnt killing him that intensively as well. he is a very good qualifier and overachiever with midfield teams. but his consistency is so bad for a top team.

Can someone explain to me the reason of MSC in the grid?
because of his surname label and he is German. i put Pascal Wehrlein to Audi in my 1st grid prediction video. and in my 1st video people put me pressure of not putting MSC.
He is German, with a huge surname, and also a WDC for F3 and F2, his time will come again.
I think Iwasa will be this grid
good pick especially for Team Asia Panthera (if they enter F1 really). there are so many variables that can effect what will happen. i trust Nyck De Vries' driver skills so much but Yuki is also very fast. if Yuki beats De Vries he has a good chance for RB Ford seat as well.
Could be that verstappen left i could imagine sergio perez still beeing there carlos probably wont be at Ferrari then logan Sergeant is a questionmark to me maybe piastri goes to the mercs tsunoda may be a Red Bull driver by then

because Andretti Cadillac joined as a new team in 2026 for my grid. if they will be able to join, my prediction is they wont be that fast as a new team. so Stroll passes Perez basically because of the car performance.

1. You can’t use number 17!
2. Arthur leclerc will be at ferrari with charles as carlos is 32 & wont win anything against charles
3. carlos will probably move back to mclaren or
4. not sure if Verstappen stays another 4 years as he already said he wont be there when he’s 31.
5. Bottas won’t ever be in f1 in 2026 & most definitely not at audi who wanan have 2 youngsters to built their future & they’ll keep pourchaire as he’s already at alfa romeo the team audi will take over!

4. i think he would stay since he meaned 2028. he will 31 in 2028 and his contract is until 2028. but i will make a 2030 video and in that video Verstappen will not be at RB.
5. Bottas will be veeery veryy experienced in 2026. and he raced for Mercedes for years. his feedbacks are key for Audi. and i dont think Audi will be a contender from season 1. Bottas is a very good driver for midfield teams. he is inconsistent but he sometimes can overachieve midfield cars with strong Q results
6. i dont think all Gasly, Ocon, Albon, Magnussen.... these relatively experienced drivers will stay at 2026. you can perceive my Ocon pick as "Ocon or Gasly". whoever will be more successful would stay at Alpine but i cant see both of them to stay at Alpine till 26. for Albon his performance against Sargeant is key. i dont expect Sargeant to upset Albon this year but we will see his development.
7. i didnt understand this but if you mean Alpha Tauri will not exist in 2026, yes maybe. today Tost announced team is not for sale but anything can happen.

i made this video before F2 season and i %100 agree with Iwasa. and same for NDV. my expectations were very high on him since i know him from F2,FE but he started very slow.

i watch f2, f3 and even some races of formula regionals. so i know all formula feeder series. i only dont follow karting series but we cant expect a 2023 karting driver to be a 2026 f1 driver. 2026 might be so early for even Antonelli.

i guess Ocon and Gasly will not get along well. one of them will go. it is hard to predict which one will win h2h but i predict %51 Ocon - %49 Gasly. For 2026 Alpine would give a seat to a now youngester like; Martins, Doohan or Pourchaire as he is French and has potential. as i cant put 3 drivers to Alpine we can say that Ocon/Gasly & Theo/Victor/Doohan. in my 1st video KMag stayed at Haas but people disagreed with that. so it can be two FDA drivers or one FDA driver and KMag. but i dont think Hulkenberg would stay at Haas till 26.

@@drhulkf1 Comeback? Officically, he never ever ended his career! I guess, after testing the 1997 Jordan at Silverstone two decades ago, he might want to consider now racing with a new team of Eddie in 2025. Who knows? ^^ Driving at Le Mans was only some kind of warming up.
