- This is first real flying car which is planned to be used as flying taxi car in Dubai by July 2017. Once the flying car cab service is started, it will be one of the biggest attractions of Dubai. Not only that it will be an evolution in Dubai transport.
EHang 184 is, actually, an electric-powered flying car which can carry up to 100 Kilograms of weight, The flying car itself weighs approximately 200 Kilograms. It is 4.9 feet tall, and it is capable of carrying one person and a small luggage for 23 minutes. The Ehang 184 can develop up to 62 miles per hour speed and, according to the company, its range of transport is 10 miles.
The passenger isn’t expected to fly the drone, all he should do is enter the flight plan via the specially designed application. There are only two commands that person in the cockpit can issue, one for taking off, and the other one for landing, all done by a single click. EHang 184 calculates the course and avoids obstacles it comes across, while the passenger enjoys the flight in a cabin, which has air condition for the passenger’s comfort. The drone has eight propellers and four arms, and the beauty of it is that it can fit into one parking spot.
Dubai’s Road & Transportation Agency plans to launch trips with the first fully-electric autonomous aerial vehicle drone starting this July. The Prime Minister of the UAE wants 25% of all passenger trips to be made in driverless vehicles by 2030.
This human-size drone, EHang 184, is made in China and has already flown in Dubai. Its manufacturer, Chinese drone company, showed off the EHang 184 at CES in Las Vegas after 100 successful manned test flights.

this is the future of cars
Amazing.
Lovely this is fine good looking car you are okay keep it up
lovely
Does it have, seat belt, Air bags and a parachute. ?
The biggest danger's are collision with electrical or other wires which are hard to detect and battery fires. I would create eight separate battery packs wired so you could drop any one or combination of battery packs if fire is detected in any, then you could safely land on what's left. Smoke detectors in each battery compartment.
This will never go into mass production. You can't have lunatics flying overhead, period!
They probably wont be mass produced anytime soon. Becausse only a handful of people can afford it
Yeah, call me when the flight time exceeds 10 hours, seats 7 and costs the same as a Toyota Camry.
É um veículo fantástico, mas será para poucos. Rio RJ Brasil
Great for rescues in the desert. Luggage optional.
Drone are illegal and drone car are legal how?
Now I understand the obvious pros and cons regarding this flying car, or whatever anyone is making a big deal to call it. Yet, I appreciate their efforts in trying to make this happen, which unfortunately may involve a few failures along the way. The airplane had many failures in it's earlier days, and of course many critics too. However, most of us today really appreciate what airplanes have meant for us and for our families. And on the notion of critics, I believe that if you're going to criticize people's efforts as such, why not try to work on something better than this machine. In fact, I urge you to do so! I say this not to call you out, but to seriously convey the idea that we can actually make the world a better place by doing something about it, not by simply criticizing those who are trying. Perhaps you might come up with something more efficient, safer, bigger and faster. You never a know.
That's a ridiculous argument to suggest people should come up with something better. That's not their responsibility. Criticism, when levelled constructively, is a valuable tool for any engineer. But just because an observer doesn't like something doesn't mean they're obliged to go and build an alternative. That's like asking pilots to build their own aircraft when they discover a flaw.
I am proud to see that the country of Dubai is putting to use the new wave of Transportation known as the flying car that is shows that said if we come far as a species become far as a people on this planet that we know that the future of transportation is in the air with the new flying vehicles known as flying cars
A lot of viewers commented if it is drone or a car. First of all this machine doesn't fit the definition of a drone. Drone has to be unmanned. On the other hand ehand has been designed for transportation. So it is definitely not a drone.
By the looks it does looks like a drone but what if ehang hides the blades and gives it a shape of the car? Any flying car needs to have a these hover blades to fly.
A lot of viewers also made comments about the safety because those rotating blades look scary. the best example is the ATR aircraft which is still in service in many countries specifically Finland. ATR blades are the most scariest :)
Everything has their pro and cons. We have to ensure the safety of others arround it. :)
Awesome
How can i place an order for this flying car?
Man that's a flying human slice and dice pedestrians in the way!
Please see the comment on the top.
It has to be economical. That's it.
How loud is it?
This thing is awesome we need these in America now
Until some rich schmo gets dumped to the ground and killed. Who wants to get on next?
Do you realize all that has to go right for you to stay up in the sky?
put the blades above the cab use ducted fans for more efficiency
Очень приятно ! Палец вверх !
最好是發展 反重力引擎 比較重要吧又不佔空間
As a drone owner and user I must say this is awesome but the blades should be protected and please for the love of humanity don't be like plane designers and incorporate a parachute for the entire vehicle in case of emergency thank you
They are called ballistic parachutes and their is nothing wrong with having one at the ready.
10 miles WOW...
Disappointed thought I was going to see a flying bmw 😁.
Thumbnail is photoshopped
I agree with the previous writer. More payload and as a pilot I want to be able to fly the thing all the way along with better distance. A good first step though as advances will come.
Some guy will make this video as UFO Aliens...seen
Price
How come no one is in there?
Because the video content has been taken from the test flights :)
Because nobody is stupid enough to sit in one.
Price kitna hai
Wow it's loud
Drone video
not the vehicle pictured
This is DRONE,not CAR.
Can I get to North korea with this
Give it to women.......they deserve it......
I want one....then I'm gonna make it look like ufo
Seems awesome but no interior shots nor shot of the pilot seems like its radio controlled and also seems like those small engines won't be able to lift a person
Car or Drones?? 😕
From the looks it looks like a drone but Ehang calls it Flying Car.
mexicans' new answer to beating trump's new wall? 😅
Car

César Nobre its just a big ass drone
Salam doa yg membuat pesawat langit negara indonesia untk negara jepang dan dunia
The door look to small for humans
We better have 60% driverless cars by 2030 what the fuck are you talking about

first one fly in China 2014 Don't explore any wrong information.
Imagina o motorista tomar um drink e pilotar um treco deste, na hora de pousar vai degolar um monte de vagabundo! Rio de Janeiro
Seems nice and all, but those darn slice-and-dice rotors do not make it safer or more convenient, especially for bystanders. That's not a genuine flying car aka roadable aircraft, that's a flying blending / cutting cuisinart !!
Nice

Ufo explanation 50yrs later dummies
I’ll just use a helicopter
These machines are simply not safe enough for passenger flight and Dubai's track record on human rights is simply appalling. There are far too many risks involved. If one of these machines fails above 1,500ft - which is the minimum clearance required for most aircraft above EU populated areas (Dubai obviously being an exception) - it will be catastrophic. There needs to be a much higher level of redundancy built-in. The notion that just because you can make something like this, you should go ahead and do so is totally nonsensical. It has the glide characteristics of a sledge-hammer and that's exactly what it will be like when it slams into innocent people on the ground. I've been a pilot for 30 years and I've flown many different types of aircraft and they all have some glide characteristics should you have an engine failure. This machine has ZERO!
Cabin for 2 carry 500 lbs and duct the blades and give me a stick to control and then you will have something
if you want a stick to control you probably should get a license, rent a helicopter and realize there's a difference between a "drone" and a "helicopter"
What? I control my drones with sticks. Why not these as an option? Anyone that can't fly would be eliminated quickly and no further menace to society :)
BushPilot444
The whole point is to be able to fly people that aren't pilots. The computer and GPS do everything.
its not a car, put wheel nah call drones cars
LION OF RABB to memo'll
Nobody's riding it yet because nobody wants to die yet!
I want to see this drone during wind turbulance or air pockets.
Or battery fires!
Hey, that's a drone, not a car, nuts!!! What?!?!?! made in china?!?!?! Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!! LOL
Isn't car
Not safe thou.......atleast consider adding injectable parachutes and air bags:))
Primitive flying machine.
won't happen... the floor for fixed wing aircraft is 500 ft.... not enough height for a parachute on a flying car.... slice and dice rotors....doesn't carry enough....no safety if it fails.
It has redundancy on each of the four corners. Battery fires are the biggest danger, other than collision with hard to detect wires strung all over the countryside at low altitudes.
like / unlike = fifty/fifty

Drone, not a flying car
Please see the comment on the top.
Is not a car not even close.
Sub96 great channel 🌟 liked

I thought you were dabbing
it's not flying car. call it anything u want. drone, helicopter. but car.
need to be with no any blades. all that just the wasting time and money.
might you give me and contact address sales for that drone?

Not a car, flying or otherwise, and real flying cars have been around for decades, so this machine is not the "first" anything. It's an aircraft. or at least the concept is an aircraft. I have yet to see a full scale unit fly with an adult passenger. The truth behind all of this "flying car" bullshit is that theres still a lot of work to do before this technology can be put to practical use in the public environment. All we are seeing now is hype and lots of bullshit.
