My goodness I’m going through the same thing they all cut out the wiring part I have the camera installed . I can’t find the videos wiring to the lights ,. No one is doing them but this guy .
I like this video and I’m not too experienced with electrical or wiring I have never done anything like this and this video helped so much and all I need now is some splicers
Great video...Kinda what I needed. I have a Rav4 2008 and got an after market player with rear cam. I was confused how to do the power cable wiring which will trigger the cam only when I press on the break. You answered it...Thanks a lot...
My car already has a back up camera too but I don’t want to do anything to it. I just want to add a rear view camera to record. Will this affect my current back up camera? Do I HAVE to rewire anything?
Hi. I watched your video and I did the same thing. My back up camera still on while on drive and it should appear only when I’m doing reverse. What should I do? Thank you
where would you place the rear camera in a suv with the back door opening to the side and having the spare tire on the back, as the ecosport for example? i am about to install one but can't figure out the better placement for the rear camera, thanks
hi,, i like your channel with all videos ,which shows that you are profissional in installing backup cameras,,, but i need help from you,,i have toyota landcruzer prado 2013 ,i need to install front camera for my car,,i have already rear camera installed by toyota factory,,can you help me with that.?
Thanks for your video. One quick question ? I just saw that you connect rear camera to backup light, using 12 V to trigger rear camera. But only one connector, how do you route and send the rear camera video back to your screen in the driver seat. Really thanks.
Hi I bought a camera that has 3 cameras, but it only has one red wire and i dont know which side to put it at ? Any advice you can give me it's called video car dvr WDR full hd 1080p
Basically I've wired up an aftermarket reverse camera to the factory display because the factory camera was bad. Now the picture is all jumpy and not clear at all. Do you know of any reason why it could do this? Maybe different voltages or that NTSC Pal thing. I don't know to well
I have a wireless 12v backupcam(I know not the best but got it for free). I was wondering if I could splice it into a trailer plug that has back up lights and ground. I checked the voltage and am pretty sure it is 14v. I went to some forums about using a 12v cam on 14v and some said that there is a range these devices use because the power isn't always so clean. PS: thanks for your repair videos on tvs. I was able to change out some blown caps and get my tv working.
I have F150 pickup truck. I would like to install the backup in the front bumper area, so I can see the object in the front. my question is how to wiring and where to connect into. Enjoy the video. thanks
Easiest part was running the video line front to back. Tapped in to rear backing light and no go for me . Bummer. Might go back to easy install of a 8 track radio. 👍
i updated firmware today and thats exactly what happens... driving forward you basically have full screen but a 1/4 screen upper right has the rear cam, you can change that too, anyway put it in reverse and its all back up cam
Question! I currently have a wireless camera set up, I installed it to the reserve light and ground. I am thinking of switching it to a wired connection. Is it a problem removing the existing splicers? When you remove the existing splicers, does it cut off the existing wiring of the lightbulb and ground or should it be okay?
sorry it's an educational howto channel not really an entertainment channel, i realize learning can be boring to some but at least if you have a hard time sleeping you can always watch this video to put you to sleep. :)

So I don't have to ground? Just put negative for cam in with negative for reverse lights?
YOU KNOW THEY SELL ADAPTER TO CONNECT YOUR BACKUP CAM TO AFTERMARKET RADIO
Hero!!! So many ‘install’ videos but everyone kept cutting out the wiring part lol thank you!!
I was going to say the same thing!!!
Same here lol
My goodness I’m going through the same thing they all cut out the wiring part I have the camera installed . I can’t find the videos wiring to the lights ,. No one is doing them but this guy .
Thats when people realise they need to go to a professional 😂
Better wiring instruction than mos I've seen. Good Job
Got a 2011 BMW 328i and this video is the best tutorial i've seen. Thanks now I can install my rear cam with confidence
I like the drip loop tip preventing water to the camera.
I've been stuck for a while connecting to the rear lights, didn't even think of a splicer, cheers!
Thanks for video!! You have helped me out over the years with several Electronic issues!! Keep it up!!

Great video my-man. Super job!

How about installing an "O" ring on the hole you drilled, as well as some silicone caulk?
Great video. Just letting you know the last link "My TV repair tools" link is not working. Cheers!
Do you have a video on how to install the rearview mirror and how to run the wire to the back?
Does it have to be negative from reverse light ?
Great video...Kinda what I needed. I have a Rav4 2008 and got an after market player with rear cam. I was confused how to do the power cable wiring which will trigger the cam only when I press on the break. You answered it...Thanks a lot...

Hey bro, what size hole you drill for the wire??
Hi. I watched your video and I did the same thing. My back up camera still on while on drive and it should appear only when I’m doing reverse. What should I do? Thank you
You saved my day! Thank you!
Very detailed thanks
Great video, but one thing I’m confuse, you mentions about splicers. Does it comes with the car or I had to buy one ?
Yes it comes with the kit but twist wire nuts and solder with heat tubes works too.
Can you put this on the running lights so the camera always has power ? 😊
Yes you can add it to any accseorry power and it will stay powered. Look for hard wiring tutorials
where would you place the rear camera in a suv with the back door opening to the side and having the spare tire on the back, as the ecosport for example? i am about to install one but can't figure out the better placement for the rear camera, thanks
Good video sir 👍
Seu vídeo foi muito satisfeito mas como que chama chave de fenda que você usou
Hi Nice video, I have some question do you need a capacitor? I have a skoda octavia does this trigger the light bulb error?
hi,, i like your channel with all videos ,which shows that you are profissional in installing backup cameras,,, but i need help from you,,i have toyota landcruzer prado 2013 ,i need to install front camera for my car,,i have already rear camera installed by toyota factory,,can you help me with that.?

Thanks for your video. One quick question ? I just saw that you connect rear camera to backup light, using 12 V to trigger rear camera. But only one connector, how do you route and send the rear camera video back to your screen in the driver seat. Really thanks.
Its probably via bluetooth.
Hi I bought a camera that has 3 cameras, but it only has one red wire and i dont know which side to put it at ? Any advice you can give me it's called video car dvr WDR full hd 1080p
Thanks for sharing.

How many continuous hours the front camera can record?
Is the red wire connected to the blue wire

Great video sir!
Just a question regarding a Toyota Mark x 2005. I don't think this vehicle is in the states, maybe
Basically I've wired up an aftermarket reverse camera to the factory display because the factory camera was bad.
Now the picture is all jumpy and not clear at all.
Do you know of any reason why it could do this? Maybe different voltages or that NTSC Pal thing. I don't know to well
Thanks in advance
can be loose or bad ground wiring or cam not compatible
Thanks sir!

yes, there's a range 12v to 14v, just connect to reverse lights and ground to trailer chassis.
Tampatec thanks again keep up the good videos.
Damn I already know I need to hire someone to do this
I test my taillight voltage and it’s shown 10.74 v, is it normal or will it good for reverse camera?. Thanks?
Excellent!!
What is the pig tail for
Thanks
Nice sir
How do you know what colour of connector to use?
you are good. thank you for the info !
Have u ever done a under glow ur car or led under ur dash
Thank you!!
I have F150 pickup truck. I would like to install the backup in the front bumper area, so I can see the object in the front. my question is how to wiring and where to connect into. Enjoy the video. thanks
This guy really just drilled into the car. I could never do that!
I know wtf!! Such a rookie install!!!
I see the mirror display is on the left hand side does it have any effect on the rear view when driving.
David Cooke not too much because I got used to it after a few days.
Where u get the wire water seal
what did you water seal it? Thanks.
Easiest part was running the video line front to back. Tapped in to rear backing light and no go for me . Bummer. Might go back to easy install of a 8 track radio. 👍
Now I just have to lookup how to properly use a splicer so I don't mess this up 🤣
Muy interesante, gracias por el aporte.
drip loop... nice!!
Just purchased but need to remove back seat to run wire to the trunk, need a how to on that
Caddy 2005 STS by the way
There is a backup camera already on this car what made you put on another camera?
Dee Lee because the factory installed cam didn't record.
That makes sense. It would be cool to record both at the same time and somehow be able to have the backup enable when you reverse as well.
i updated firmware today and thats exactly what happens... driving forward you basically have full screen but a 1/4 screen upper right has the rear cam, you can change that too, anyway put it in reverse and its all back up cam
Cheers mate..
is there a special name for those red slicer pieces?
In the uk we call them scotchlocks
Question! I currently have a wireless camera set up, I installed it to the reserve light and ground. I am thinking of switching it to a wired connection. Is it a problem removing the existing splicers? When you remove the existing splicers, does it cut off the existing wiring of the lightbulb and ground or should it be okay?
How did you wire in the front?
Yellow RCA into head units video input. Red wire coming off it connect to reverse wire from head unit.
Have the same camera but screen flashes black one time when I engage the reverse
Normal.
Liked the Video
Why would you drill a hole just loosen up the back up camera and run the wire along the side
... you already had a camera.
but ok let's go ahead. if you prefer VGA resolution over a 1024x768 one...
NEW UPDATE FOR M6 MIRROR TO FIX BACKUP CAM BLANK SCREEN AND BACKUP CAM RECORDING UNLOCKED ruclips.net/video/raOaMI8qZew/видео.html
nice
Video does not discuss other power cae
You totally skipped how to hide the wire from the trunk to the front.
👍
👌😀
I’m not drilling a hole in my car lol
it's just a hole
this lexus just got ghetto
Forse e megle l che parla italiano
This was not helpful. You don't explain the wiring very well at all. Where does the black wire come in?
bored
sorry it's an educational howto channel not really an entertainment channel, i realize learning can be boring to some but at least if you have a hard time sleeping you can always watch this video to put you to sleep. :)
