    You need an emission tester and measure on each front exhaust pipe in order to adjust properly otherwise you can mess up the air fuel mixture and have a poor running engine, the air synchronization will also need to be adjusted when you change CO setting, also the settings that you have will not work on others, if you check on different tdm models they will each have different setting in the display, but will be similar when measured on the exhaust when the where new and have the factory settings. You can also remove the spark plugs to get an indication of the mixture.

    What is the best number of adjust???

    • @GalapagosJapan
      @GalapagosJapan  8 дней назад

      I’m not sure because it depends on which exhaust is used. So we have to try to find the best by our own.

      I'm not sure about the setting for yours because I've never used them. But I set C1 & C2 20 each with Delkevic slip-on exhaust with genuine air filter.
      I also tried to set them 0, and there were no problem, too. even better?? I don't know.
      Anyway, I think we just have to find the best settings for each condition. Good luck!

    Hello friend. Can I ask you what actually those settings is?? It’s for economy fuel??? I have a 2005 model without extras. What settings should be???

    • @GalapagosJapan
      @GalapagosJapan  Год назад +1

      Hi there. It's basically for adjustment the fuel richness at idling because of the exhaust gas regulation. So I "think" it should be richer than the default (0).

      @@yamahatdm I"m not sure because it depends on the condition (temperature, humidity, engine condition or exhaust). So please try various settings. By the way, I set +18 each.

    Hi mate, i set it to 13 for both. With this setting like yours, how many km could you cover with a full tank petrol? I try to reach at least 300 km with a full tank, or I still decrease the setting. Stay safe.

    • @GalapagosJapan
      @GalapagosJapan  3 года назад +3

      Hi there! Mine runs 25km/L and has 20L tank, so I could cover over 400km.
      TDM has really good fuel economy.

      Thank you. I have read someone up the setting of C2, to prevent blue color on the pipe. But it's strange, i have find 18 set on C2.. in other case i have read person who find "0". So, is not easy to find correct setup, but i'm trust of your experience and i check the properly efficiency of bike

      @@Fortemagno Yes, it's not easy to find the correct settings. In my case, the best setting is different between the normal exhaust and Delkevic.
      I hope you could find the best one!

    Hi mate. Tdm is great machine! I live in Sicily and what do you think about correct setting on "C1 and C2"? I noted a little high fuel consumption.

    • @GalapagosJapan
      @GalapagosJapan  3 года назад +1

      Yes, indeed. TDM is great!
      I think it's depend on the engine condition and which exhaust is installed.
      I'm using Delkevic and now I set them moth 15 and which feels good and good gas milage.

    • @Fortemagno

      Thank you. I have a tdm 900 abs like yours. It's the same model in production to 2004-2006 i think. Next year other colors. In Sicily temperature is very hot now and i think it's necessary to set C1 and C2 because the "iat sensor" is allocated near the engine and is too hot and cause fuel consumption. I have normal exaust. What do you think about 14 set for them?

    • @GalapagosJapan
      @GalapagosJapan  3 года назад +1

      I watched your video and you also have a nice TDM!
      I can't tell which is the best setting in Sicily, but I set them 13 each when I used the normal exhaust in Japan (very high humid and also hot in summer).

      This is my third tdm..i have change many bike, but i haven't find the feel of tdm in others bike. I start many years ago with 850, after one tdm 900 black and another one in silver color. Now a black one with abs. In Italy the color model absolutely rare, is the thunder blue from 2009. Thank you for your suggestion, your experience can help me. Great sound the new delkevic..i think you gaigned some hp.

    • @GalapagosJapan
      @GalapagosJapan  3 года назад +2

      @@Fortemagno I'm impressed that you're continuing to ride TDMs. 850 has 360 degree crankshaft and 900 is 270 degree and I prefer 270. Anyway, I have never seen that the thinder blue one, that's cool!
      Delkevic helps smooth out the low rev jerkiness and gives some hp in middle-high revs, and good sound :)
      Again, thank you for your comments!
