dreamcatcher \:D/ I think how you view them will be determined by what type of music you like. for sure they are more developed now than 6 years ago, but there are fans who like their older songs more than current, or their middle albums than early/late, etc because it's all different blends of music from different time periods.
Dreamcatcher is my favorite girl group, I've been following them since their debut and as you say they've grown a lot. I recommend you: The Sream, Mouth and Odd Eye trilogy. Siyeon "Overdose" (EXO Cover) live. Break the Wall Showcase. 'Sahara' [Dystopia: Seven Spirits] Concert VOD
I feel like you really need to listen to more of their music because you're missing out on a lot of what they can do and things they've experimented in! That said, it's not like any of the songs you've heard or can hear from them are _bad_ because they and their team are amazing. It's a good time no matter when you jump in. Thanks for the reaction
"Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It could be about North Korea as well after all. It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
Yass my ults you should listen to other songs and especially siyeon solo stuff like Paradise , shadow , overdose. And she's my biggest inspiration as I'm also a female metal vocalist , love your channel bro keep going ❤️ love from Germany
Thanks for some more Dreamcatcher love! Agreed. They've definitely grown into their own over the years. The journey of their vocal maturity is chef's kiss, for sure. Thanks again!
Btw, John, I’m gonna recommend again a Norwegian singer called Aurora. She’s an amazing singer, her lyrics are pure poetry and I’m sure you’re gonna love her 💜
Would like to know what you think of this group ONEWE (song: Gravity, from their first engl. album) from a musician's point of view. They also have great live events. It's a group that writes and composes all their songs themselves. Thank you.
Ahhh Siyeon's power vocal high notes give me so much life and Dami's rap just makes me smile everytime
